    A Chianti Classico born of the fusion of centuries-old tradition and modern winemaking techniques: Organically farmed since the 1980s, the vineyards of Monti-in-Chianti and Vitignano (situated slightly below) – with their clay-loam and limestone soils – strive for character and balance. The vines (90% Sangiovese, complemented by a little Colorino, Canaiolo and Ciliegiolo) are planted at altitudes of between 250 m and 330 m above sea level.

    Bright ruby red. The bouquet features floral notes (violet, rose), ripe cherry, redcurrant and a cool herbal note, complemented by a salty, mineral hint. On the palate, Coltibuono’s Chianti Classico is elegant and focused: a vibrant acidity carries the fruit, whilst the fine-grained tannins lend structure.     "After being decimated by peronospora (downy mildew) in 2023, the estate skipped the vintage altogether. But rather than leaving fans high and dry, the Stucchi Prinetti family decided to release their 2024 early. Heady and comforting from the first whiff, the nose progresses from orange, rose and hibiscus to oregano and sage. A finely etched palate is light and streamlined, expressing itself with subtleties. Mineral accents underscore the forest strawberries and fresh raspberry core. A vivacious freshness pervades. Tannins are graceful. Mouthwatering and lovely, this lingers with pepper and rosehip tea."
