    A Chianti Classico born of the fusion of centuries-old tradition and modern winemaking techniques: Organically farmed since the 1980s, the vineyards of Monti in Chianti and Vitignano (situated slightly below) – with their clay-loam and limestone soils – strive for character and balance. The vines (90% Sangiovese, complemented by a little Colorino, Canaiolo and Ciliegiolo) are planted at altitudes ranging from 250 m to 330 m above sea level.

    A brilliant ruby red. The bouquet features floral notes (violet, rose), ripe cherry, redcurrant and a cool herbal note, complemented by a salty, mineral hint. On the palate, Coltibuono's Chianti Classico is elegant and focused: a vibrant acidity supports the fruit, whilst the fine-grained tannins lend structure.     "After the vineyard was severely affected by Peronospora (downy mildew) in 2023, it decided to forgo the vintage entirely. However, rather than leave its fans high and dry, the Stucchi Prinetti family decided to release their 2024 vintage ahead of schedule. Intoxicating and soothing from the very first whiff, the bouquet evolves from notes of orange, rose and hibiscus to hints of oregano and sage.
