This single-varietal Carricante comes from Tenuta Tascante, from the Contrade Feudo in Castiglione di Sicilia and Salice in Milo. The vineyards thrive at an altitude of 600 metres on the northern slopes of Mount Etna, on volcanic sedimentary soils dating from various geological periods. The majority of the grapes are grown on a terrace in the Contrada Sciaranuova. Vinified in cool stainless steel, this white wine retains the mineral clarity and sulphurous notes of the indigenous grape variety. Linear and vertical in character, it displays the characteristic acidity of Carricante, which reveals volcanic vigour with elegant purity. An authentic Etna character, aged on the lees for four months, which brings the aura of the volcano straight into the glass. SUPERIORE.DE

"A spicy wine with a waxy character, floral aromas and hints of almonds, followed by citrus notes. Light, crisp and taut, with distinctive body and an apple-like finish. Ready to drink now." James Suckling

"The 2025 Carricante Buonora displays lovely purity, blending crushed stones, sea air, savory herbs and Asian pear. It's zesty, with brisk acidity and minerals complicating its tart orchard fruits. The finish delivers attractive freshness and nuances of chamomile." Vinous
