The name Plenio (derived from the Latin plenus) stands for fullness and expression, and this is precisely what characterises every facet of this Riserva. The grapes come from higher-lying plots near Cupramontana, in the historic centre of the appellation. Calcareous clay soils, cool nights and selective hand-picking create the basis for a Verdicchio with depth and Storage potential. Fermentation is followed by partly reductive, partly oxidative ageing in stainless steel and large wood, followed by extended storage on fine lees and final maturation in the bottle.

Medium straw yellow in colour with golden reflections. The bouquet unfolds slowly and in a differentiated way: yellow apple, camomile, candied lemon, a hint of smoke and delicate hints of roasted almonds and fennel green. On the palate, the wine is dense and taut at the same time – carried by a lively, well-integrated acidity, fine spice and salty minerality. The fruit remains subtle, never loud, and opens up with air to create a multi-layered, almost floating drinking experience. Plenio is a Verdicchio of rare balance – structured but not heavy, complex but never exuberant. It combines power and elegance with timeless composure and proves that great white wines do not have to be loud to have a lasting effect.
