Illivio is a subtle bridge between Friuli's autochthonous self-image and international nobility – a cuvée of Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay and Picolit, named after the charismatic founder of the estate, Livio Felluga, who sadly passed away in 2017. The vines grow on the characteristic Ponca soils of the Collio – marly, limestone-rich layers that lend the wines tension, minerality and depth. The 2022 vintage brought ideal conditions: a warm, sunny summer without extreme heat and a dry autumn ensured perfectly ripe, aromatically complex grapes.

Selective hand-picking, gently pressed and fermented partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in small oak barrels. The wine then matured on the fine lees for around ten months – a combination that harmonises freshness, texture and complexity. Light gold colour with greenish reflections. The nose opens with delicate notes of pear, acacia blossom, honeydew melon and roasted almonds, underpinned by a hint of vanilla and wet chalk. Elegant and structured on the palate, with a creamy texture, clear fruit, fine spice and a tangy, saline freshness on the finish. Illivio is not just a white wine, but a multi-layered character – characterised by depth, origin and cultivated restraint.
