A highly vigorous rosato from Etna that combines lightness and depth. The Nerello Mascalese vines grow at an altitude of around 700 metres in lava soils on the north side of the volcano. The cool microclimate and volcanic minerality lend tension and finesse. The nose has floral notes of wild roses, pink grapefruit, wild strawberries and a hint of salty herbs. Fresh and precise on the palate, with animating acidity, subtle fruit and a fine texture. The ageing in stainless steel tanks maintains freshness and purity, while the character remains cool and elegant. Dry warmth during the day and refreshing coolness at night - ideal conditions for a Gewürztraminer that is leaner and fresher at Weingut Falkenstein than is otherwise known from South Tyrol. Bright yellow. On the nose, ripe but never exuberant aromas of dried fruits, honey, a little scent of roses. Medium-bodied on the palate and extremely drinkable due to its relatively low residual sweetness. The long fermentation on the natural yeasts ensures a balanced and lean appearance here. Argiano's Rosso di Montalcino is a very beautiful and expressive wine. Dried herbs, flowers, mint, liquorice and sweet red cherries adorn this attractive, medium-bodied Rosso. Medium textured on the palate, with lovely balance and clean notes of raspberry and candied violets. It is accessible early on and offers plenty of fun with its juicy overall impression through to a surprisingly long finish and is also an excellent accompaniment to food. SUPERIORE.DE

Forget everything you think you know about rosé. The grapes for this masterpiece come from four different vineyards, one of which, Madonna degli Angeli, is home to vines aged 50-95 years. Rosa del Rosa is the archetype of complexity and aromatic density combined with suppleness and elegance. Maximum harmony and complexity on the palate; fine red berries and orange fruit paired with a certain sharpness and saltiness lead to a polished and never-ending finish. "Fruit that bears richly" ... the meaning of the name. Sciala evokes images of golden grapes in the warm light of the Gallura autumn. Here, millennia-old memories and modern precision come together to create a Vermentino that is considered the style-defining work (not only) of Surrau. The 2024 vintage in Gallura was strong in character and balanced at the same time – characterised by plenty of warmth from the sun, yet plenty of cooling sea air and the exposed altitude ensured concentrated fruit and aromatic elegance. In combination with a late, selective harvest, this beautiful vintage marks a highly lively expression between strength and finesse.

La Bella Estate (The Beautiful Summer) is named after a work by Cesare Pavese. This Moscato Passito is the result of over 20 years of experience. "Over time," explains the president of the company, Piero Quadrumolo, "we have managed to find an optimal balance with the aim of obtaining an aromatic wine with the clear varietal character of a Moscato that is not too broad or boring and also has good acidity." Today, just 15,000 bottles are bottled per vintage, most of which are delivered directly to the haute cuisine of Piedmont.

A big step on the path to depth: Core Rosso is the red-black equivalent of the well-known white wine – a single-varietal Aglianico that uncompromisingly embodies the power and elegance of this indigenous grape variety. The grapes come from limestone-rich vineyards at the foot of Monte Soprano in Sannio locations, where cool nights and Mediterranean heat peaks allow for perfect ripening. Good balance, ripe fruit and fine acidity.

Juice and power is the headline for this incredibly dense and fleshy Dolcetto, which already announces what awaits the senses with its rich ruby-purple colour. Lots of dark, sweet cherry, plus tobacco, leather and incense pour out of the glass and then hit the palate in concentrated form, embedded in a wonderful, silky, lush texture. Lavender, violets and white pepper can be found in the long, incredibly juicy finish. Roberto Voerzio proves once again here how you can make a fantastic, great wine from the Dolcetto grape, even away from the great Barolo wines in his repertoire, by reducing yields and being uncompromising! Pietracupa's Fiano 2020 is a prime example of how precise and complex this grape variety from the Irpinia highlands can be. The vines grow on limestone and clay-rich soils around Montefredane, where cool nights and a long growing season ensure fine flavours and elegant structure. 2020 brought balanced conditions that harmoniously combined freshness and ripeness. Medium straw yellow with golden reflections. The bouquet is multi-layered: ripe apricot, candied lemon, hazelnut, white flowers and a hint of honey, underpinned by mineral notes. Dense yet straightforward on the palate, with juicy acidity, fine texture and a long, slightly salty finish. A Fiano with depth and clarity that is a true reflection of its origin and will continue to gain expression over the coming years. SUPERIORE.DE

The label of the Vinnae, made from 100% Ribolla Gialla, features the two-headed eagle that already adorned Anton's great-grandfather's bottles: a symbol of Austro-Hungarian origin and a greeting from the winery. Bright, clear straw yellow colour. Elderflower, sliced apples, white apricots and waxed lemons on the nose. Fascinating wine with a fine, dense bouquet. Bright ruby red colour, typical of Sangiovese. Intense aroma of blackcurrants, cherries and Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, it immediately shows great freshness and minerality, good tannins and structure, a very long finish that shows that Sangiovese from the Montalcino region possesses wonderful elegance, complexity and depth even when aged in stainless steel. Jermann's Sauvignon Bianco is a precisely vinified white wine from the cooler vineyards of the Veneto-Friuli border region. The grapes come from vineyards with calcareous flysch soil, which promotes an elegant, taut style. The 2024 vintage was characterised by slow ripening under stable conditions – the result is a Sauvignon with a fine balance and clear flavour. The wine is matured exclusively in stainless steel tanks to preserve its freshness and varietal character.

Lisini's Rosso di Montalcino smells of violets, lavender and cinnamon-dusted cherries. This flows effortlessly across the palate with polished ripe red fruits and sweet inner spices. There is nothing out of place in this silky beauty. The lightly textured and characterful final is balanced by zesty acidity and shows nuances of red candy mixed with worn leather and a pleasant inner sweetness that lingers. Juicy and flavoursome character with well-dosed tannins and lively acidity. A wine for every day, but with great class and fascinating freshness. SUPERIORE.DE

The rare Titolo Rosato is not only a feast for the eyes, but also makes a first-class impression with its fresh and spicy bouquet of mandarins, cherries, sage and sweet smoke. On the palate, this freshness is again combined with a taut yet silky texture, followed by tart, lemony notes and a lovely saltiness that provide plenty of excitement and drinking flow. A finely integrated expression of the autochthonous grape variety, cultivated by the innovative Pietracupa winery and one of the best interpretations of the Greco grape every year. The 2020 vintage revealed balanced ripeness with cool nights and moderate growth, resulting in grapes with a precise acid structure and aromatic depth. Matured in stainless steel tanks, this wine remains clear and typical of the variety in terms of expression and structure. Brilliant straw yellow in the glass with a delicate greenish reflection. The aroma combines ripe pear, yellow citrus fruit, lime blossom and a hint of spring meadow, accompanied by light minerality. Prosecco del Fondatore Graziano Merotto is the winery's flagship wine – certainly one of the best of its denomination – and a very dry and complex brut from the special slopes of the Rive di Col San Martino. Bright silver-grey with a persistent perlage. Light fruit and flowers on the nose, a fine citrus note on the palate introduces the finesse-rich, exciting mineral flavour with an impressive finish.
