    A distinctive interpretation of Chianti Classico: a sparkling ruby red with a pronounced garnet sheen. A very inviting bouquet of cherries and delicate notes of meadow herbs, with a hint of nuts. Medium-bodied on the palate, with wonderfully juicy fruit once again, a cool, mineral style, very finely structured and balanced, with lively vigour; it has a rather long finish and leaves you longing for the next glass.     "Winemaker Sean O'Callaghan goes just far enough to ensure that this wine is exciting and edgy, yet delicious; serious, yet not too serious. It is characterised by the use of whole bunches of grapes, spontaneous fermentation, long maceration, the absence of fining and filtration, and minimal sulphur additions. It evokes notes of chalk, blood, sweet herbs and white flowers before unfolding into dark violet nuances. On the palate, which is characterised by medium body, notes of raspberry, rust and blood orange emerge. Crisp and refreshing, with a slightly grainy texture that delights the palate." Decanter

    "Tenuta di Carleone's 2023 Organic Chianti Classico is made from 40% whole grapes and captivates with lively notes of redcurrants and small berries, as well as a fresh, powerful character. Initially, there are hints of beetroot, followed by crushed flowers, blueberries and other notes of blue fruits. I love this sort of food-friendly wine, and this winery is amongst the best at delivering exactly that – with freshness and energy taking precedence over body.
