It is the essence of what Giulio Ferrari dreamed of over a century ago: Italian sparkling wines to rival the French greats. From the best plots of the family vineyards, between 300 and 700 metres above sea level, where the Dolomite winds provide the alpine freshness that makes a world-class sparkling wine possible. Five years pass while the Riserva matures on the fine lees and in the end you can taste every single week of the maturing period.

A delicate rosé colour in the glass, the perlage of rare finesse. Intense and multi-layered on the nose: elegant notes of small fruits dominate – raspberries and wild roses join roasted notes of biscuit and candied orange. The palate shows all its class: precious and velvety, supported by a structure that perfectly emphasises the typicality of Pinot Nero. Delicate spicy notes, sweet almonds, a hint of yeast. The final is long, persistent and aristocratic. Cotoletta alla Milanese? Perfect. Lardo di Colonnata on warm focaccia? Ingenious.
