A bright, luminous straw-yellow colour with a subtle greenish sheen – this is how this exceptional white wine presents itself in the glass. The grapes are 100% Nascetta, arguably the only indigenous white grape variety of the Langhe, which has been revived in Novello to a level far exceeding expectations – as a true expression of the region’s varietal diversity. The wine is aged in equal parts in stainless-steel tanks and in 15-hl Slavonian oak barrels – perfectly balanced to combine freshness with an enveloping structure.

The bouquet offers a fascinating balance of aromas: juicy quince and peach, complemented by floral notes of acacia and wild mimosa blossom, along with briny, fresh hints of grapefruit and wild herbs. The delicate, slightly resinous minerality typical of Nascetta is already evident on the nose. On the palate, it is elegant, with a lively, fresh acidity that underpins the velvety texture. The aromatic profile remains dense and harmonious, underpinned by delicate fruit sweetness and subtle salty complexity, and lingers with a gentle hint of sage and minerality. An authentic Langhe Bianco that demonstrates how verve and history can live on in a rare grape variety. SUPERIORE.DE
