“Grattamacco” Vermentino Bolgheri DOC 2021 (BIO)
High-quality and rare Vermentino with a straw-yellow colour and a bouquet of white fruit and hazelnut. Fresh and floral on the palate, round and ripe. The well-dosed use of wood gives the wine a fine, creamy texture. A persistent, highly elegant Bolgheri Bianco with fine mineral notes for special occasions. SUPERIORE.DE
"The multi-faceted nose has seductive elderberry tones, as well as fine macchia and stone fruit notes; compact in the mouth, the acidity is lively, beautifully polished and enveloping, fresh and yet elegant." Vinum
"Bright, radiant straw yellow colour. Candied lemon and flint on the nose, beautiful fine wood, sea salt, subtle white blossom on the finish. Polished and delicately creamy on the palate, with well-integrated wood, savoury and a pleasant length." Falstaff
"A medium-bodied release, dry, fresh and admirably textured, with notes of baked apple, spiced pear and lemon drops compressed by a touch of attractive French oak. The finish, a rail of maritime salinity fused with the cedar signpost." James Suckling
"A supple white, blending elements of ripe peach and melon with Mediterranean scrub, bitter citrus and crushed stone. Lively and also leaves a chalky sensation on the long finish." Wine Spectator
"The organic Grattamacco 2021 Bolgheri Vermentino shows the results of an extra year in the bottle with steely mineral notes followed by ripe apple and preserved lemon. There is an evolution in this white 2021 that gives it beautiful layers of flint and ash. The wine is already very drinkable now, especially in terms of mouthfeel thanks to its clean, mid-weight texture and freshness. It has been partially aged in tonneaux and has a delicate hint of vanilla spice. This characterful wine comes from old and valuable vines." Wine Advocate
"A solid Vermentino that was aged partly in steel and partly in barriques. Fruity on the nose, nuances of lychee, then yellow melon and citrus thyme, with a hint of white pepper and a lovely length on the palate." Luca Gardini

This complex and radiant Bianco comes from the stony, chalky soils around Margreid. Bright golden yellow in colour with silver highlights. Intense bouquet of candied fruit, exotic spices and a hint of vanilla. Full-bodied on the palate, with good acidity and a savoury final, great! SUPERIORE.DE
"Powerful, bright light golden yellow colour. Appealing nose with notes of bergamot, lime, fresh peach and some saffron. Playful notes on the nose, some fresh tree resin, plus lime and apricot, firm pressure, salty final." Falstaff

“Contrada SM Santa Margherita” Grillo Sicilia DOC 2021 (BIO)
Arianna Occhipinti's new white wine is a 100% Grillo and comes from a vineyard located 490 metres above sea level and surrounded by pine forests, oaks and centuries-old olive trees. The soil of Contrada Santa Margherita consists of sandy calcareous marl of a whitish colour and yellowish-white calcarenite, all marine sediments dating back to the Pleistocene. These soils of the Monti Iblei at the foot of the small municipality of Chiaramonte Gulfi give the wine an impressive complexity and saltiness.
Pale yellow in the glass, intense bouquet of citrus notes, accompanied by spicy vegetal notes and white flowers. A fantastic balance of alcohol and acidity on the palate, impressive complexity that only reveals itself with time, with a beautiful length and a dry, mineral finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"This Grillo is really vertical and focussed, almost austere, with spicy, juicy stone fruits hidden among straw, hay, flowers and lanolin notes. A stylish interpretation of this grape variety." Decanter
"The Grillo Contrada Bianco SM 2021 opens with a dark golden colour and macerated aromas of grape skins and honey. The wine has a very fragrant side, as you would expect from a young Grillo, with white rose, jasmine and peach blossom. The wine is very full-bodied, with plenty of freshness, crushed stone and a creamy texture. There is also a hint of dried apple skin." Wine Advocate
"Dark yellow, golden in colour with a green shimmer. Aromas of dried apples, apricots, rose soap and camomile. Full-bodied with a multi-layered texture of phenols and apple skin. Flavours of apple crumble and cream. Also some honey. It's definitely a skin contact wine, but not over the top. Drink it now." James Suckling
"The 2021 Contrade SM is a varietal Grillo with a deep golden-yellow color. The bouquet evokes musky dried peaches, apricots, sweet herbs and ground ginger. It’s soft-textured, with zesty acidity and saline minerals up front that give way to vivid yellow apples and savory spice. This finishes long, dry and lightly structured, yet harmonious, displaying all the components necessary for a steady evolution, as a bitter tinge keeps the mouth watering for more. This is a fascinating Grillo that exceeds expectations. Two thousand and twenty-one is only the second vintage of Contrade SM, which hails from a vineyard planted in 2016 at 500 meters in soils of sandy calcareous marl." Vinous

“Fontanasanta” Manzoni Bianco Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2023 (BIO) · MAGNUM
A small marvel, perfectly harmonised with multi-layered aromas of tropical fruits, apples and honey. A highly interesting white natural wine that is far more than just a casual pleasure, as it offers an extremely full, well-structured flavour. Fermented with the skins using the red wine method. Strong yellow colour with golden reflections. Intense aroma of dried herbs, incense, candied lemon peel and a hint of bitter orange. Fresh citrus notes on the palate, an exciting acidity and a powerful structure lead into a very long finish, crowned by a hint of bitter almonds. Very complex and a wonderful accompaniment to food - be sure to aerate! SUPERIORE.DE

“Contrada SM Santa Margherita” Grillo Sicilia DOC 2022 (BIO)
This 100% Grillo comes from a vineyard located 490 metres above sea level and surrounded by pine forests, oaks and centuries-old olive trees. These soils of the Monti Iblei at the foot of the small municipality of Chiaramonte Gulfi give the wine an impressive complexity and saltiness.
A wild and yet highly seductive bouquet of spiced citrus fruits. Then add some smoke and a hint of undergrowth and you have a great white wine from Etna. Softly textured and thoroughly flavoursome on the palate, with young peach accompanied by lively acidity and a hint of sour lemon. It leaves a hint of minerality, along with notes of ginger and tangerine, while finishing with impressive length and concentration. It's hard to put this glass down. SUPERIORE.DE
"Boasting an intense golden colour, this 100% Grillo from Contrada Santa Margherita mixes Sicilian exuberance with Chablis-like crispness and minerality. Twelve months ageing in large oak casks adds a touch of sweet spice to golden apple, lanolin, and acacia honey, while iodine and flint echo in the background. Laser-like acidity is seamlessly interwoven through a viscous mid-palate, making for an uncommon combination of textural depth and tension. It finishes long and slightly tactile, with sappy minerals allied to dried fruits and cinnamon." Decanter

“Firraru Family & Friends” Bianco Terre Siciliane IGT 2021 (BIO)
Firraru is Feudo Maccari's latest big hit: a small-production Grillo from black soils characterised by limestone, clay skeleton and an iron-rich matrix. Crystal clear yellow with golden reflections. Complex aroma of citrus fruits, fine flavours of vanilla and roasted cinnamon. Fresh and perfectly structured on the palate, with a fine tannin structure and an enveloping, very long flavour. SUPERIORE.DE
"The Firraru from Feudo Maccari is a single-varietal Grillo. Cool and racy, it is beautifully flavoured and produces plenty of juice and body with a differentiated depth. Firmly structured and long, this is probably one of the best Grillo." Weinwisser
"Bright light golden yellow colour. Intense aroma of yellow apple, grapefruit, acacia and orange blossom as well as vanilla and caramel on the nose. Structured and full-bodied on the palate, pleasantly spicy and beautifully melting, very powerful and long final on hazelnuts." Falstaff
"The smoky, tropical flavours are joined by a hint of herbs, and in the mouth the excellent acidity drives the fruit through a structured, full-bodied expression of the variety. Lemon, apricot and citrus peel are underscored by plenty of black pepper and a certain creaminess, leading to a long and savoury, spicy finish. Give it a few more months to allow the wood to integrate further." Decanter
"Lots of crushed oysters, dried flowers, flint and matches. Hints of vanilla. Full-bodied, but very energetic. Crunchy. Notes of liquorice and aniseed." James Suckling

“Lieben Aich” Sauvignon Bianco Alto Adige Terlano DOC 2021 (BIO)
"Unlike anything you know: this single-varietal Sauvignon Blanc is wild and unspoilt. A special experience for wine lovers." Michael Graf Goëss-Enzenberg, Weingut Manincor
Golden yellow Sauvignon with rich, complex aromas of ripe tropical fruit such as mango, papaya and passion fruit. Full-bodied on the palate, otherwise rather mineral like wet stone and with a juicy acidity. The long finish is also a harmonious exchange of blows between austere minerality and ripe fruit. Lieben Aich is a rustic and rare experience for true Sauvignon fans (only around 3,000 bottles filled)! SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright, sparkling straw yellow. Opens with appealing notes of lemon balm and sage, then some lime and green peach. Round and balanced on the palate, shows very good tension, juicy fruit, full-bodied pressure on the final." Falstaff
"Like Tannenberg, this is also from the Lieben Aich vineyard, but with very slightly lower yields and lower production. It's made in the same way but with an extra month in barrel. It's a more floral style, showing more freshness and some green fruits on the nose. Intense and more compact, it's textured, limey and slightly leesy, with some peachy fruit, a touch of spice and then some more creamy green fruits to finish." Decanter
"A unique Sauvignon with a beautiful nose that shows the freshness of the mountain air together with the minerality of gravel and subtle notes of stone fruit, honey, dried summer herbs and raw almonds. The palate shows great tension with a medium to full body, even, long-lasting acidity and salty undertones. Hints of minerals and salted lemons with a delicate, silky finish." James Suckling

“Bòggina B” Trebbiano Toscana IGT 2021 (BIO)
Bòggina Bianco is an extremely deep, flavoursome and fresh Trebbiano from vines that are around 50 years old. It is the result of Luca Sanjust's encounter with Lucien Le Moine (Mounir Souma), a major producer in Burgundy, who has contributed significantly to the success of this extraordinary project with his inspiration and expertise. Vinification takes place in French oak barrels and tonneaux specially made for this wine and selected by Lucien Le Moine. The wine remains "sur lies" (on the lees) for the entire ageing period of over 2 years, which gives it an incredibly fresh flavour and harmony. An extremely rare and very delicious exceptional white wine, which is only produced in small quantities of a few 1,000 bottles. SUPERIORE.DE
"Slightly opaque, pale straw yellow colour. Opens with appealing notes of flint and cold smoke, then some pear, grapefruit and capers. Very good tension in the attack, salty, emphatically reductive on the palate, well-integrated acidity, unfortunately somewhat bready notes in the final, phenolic." Falstaff
"This white wine is complex and engaging from the start, with smoky lemon, peach and honey flavours, with hints of white flowers and caramel. It is lively and precise and finishes on a note of salted almonds. Excellent balance and length." Wine Spectator
"Powerful and savoury on the nose, with toasted sesame, herbs and almost molten rock mingling with ethereal citrus blossom and lemon curd before rolling onto the palate, which occupies the corner between honeyed fruit and salty earth." Wine Enthusiast
"This wine is enjoying an impressive growth trajectory. And it's made with 100% Trebbiano, which makes it even more particular. Once seen as a workhorse variety, Trebbiano reveals age-worthy qualities when made in the right hands. Starting off with initial flinty reductiveness, the Petrolo 2021 Bòggina B has an almost exotic bouquet with Indian spice, cumin and cardamom. The wine is fleshy and creamy in texture with a full-bodied style that is accented by medium acidity and waxiness. There is a distinctive note of canned corn or peach that dovetails into mineral or metallic notes." Wine Advocate
"It is fresh and perfumed with notes of beeswax, spicy herbs and orange blossom. Nuts. Honey blossom. Beautiful fruit with savoury undertones and wet stone minerality. Full-bodied, persistent and complex, with deep fruit and impressive acidity. The finish is long and straightforward, shifting from a mineral note to a steely character at the very end. Beautiful as ever. From organically grown grapes. Drink or store." James Suckling
"A Trebbiano Toscano with a distinct territorial character and personality. 45-year-old vines and skeleton-rich soils for this organic white wine: full-bodied fruit, floral and spicy nose, with notes of apricot and yellow plum, lush, generous sip, great persistence." Luca Gardini

Sparkling, rich straw yellow colour, rich, complex aroma with a delicate, pleasantly creamy nose and the scent of vanilla, mango and fresh pineapple. Full, opulent and full of tension on the palate, juicy and salty, very elegant flavour, accompanied by a fresh, well-balanced acidity. The ideally integrated wood note and the fruity, complex body form a harmonious and impressive unit. The long-lasting finish is refined with a subtle hint of bitter almond. SUPERIORE.DE
"Beautiful flint notes, meadow flowers and limes on the nose. Fine grip on the palate, herbal notes and fresh fruit perfectly balanced, white flowers, long, animating acidity, salty finish." Weinwisser
"Sparkling, pale straw yellow with light green nuances. Opens with a cool hint of mint, nectarine and gooseberry, some flint. Shows emphatically fresh notes on the palate, savoury, persistent, quite light-bodied overall." Falstaff
"The Alois Lageder 2020 Chardonnay Löwengang opens with an elegant hint of reduction, reminiscent of flint or burnt matches. It lifts quickly to reveal pear, quince, golden apple, honey glaze, vanilla wafer and saffron. There's a spicy side too, with pink peppercorns and plenty of glacier-like minimalism." Wine Advocate
"The Löwengang Chardonnay is an icon of Italian Chardonnay and continues to demonstrate the Lageder winery's commitment to producing wines of the highest quality. Aromas of spiced baked apples, Comice pears, candied lemon peel, white flowers and baking spices are present. On the palate, the wine is rich and broad, with a creamy texture and hints of vanilla and sweet and savoury spices. The wine finishes with the energy and pulse of the mountains, showing both the minerality and important acidity that gives this wine the structure for the long haul." Wine Enthusiast
"A rich white wine in a graceful frame, with a pronounced salinity that works with vibrant acidity to define the medley of baked pineapple and persimmon, toasted almonds and pastry cream, Meyer lemon peel and elderflower. Expressive and well-knit, with a long finish that reflects the spectrum of flavours and contains additional mineral and spicy elements." Wine Spectator
"Deep nose with a sharp mineral undertone to the complex flavours of white sesame, praline, grilled spices and roasted pineapple. Broad and savoury on the palate with medium to full body and a very tangy, engaging finish. Long, savoury and concentrated." James Suckling
"The Chardonnay Löwengang, which was first produced in 1984, is a prime example of the variety in Alto Adige. It comes from the best plots of 30 to 80-year-old Chardonnay vines in Magrè, near the winery, and is fermented spontaneously in barriques, followed by 11 months on the lees. The result in 2020 is a wine reminiscent of a Puligny, with a nose of flint and matches that introduces a clean and fresh, intense, savoury and persistent palate. The juicy complexity of melon, stone fruit and tropical fruit gives it a wonderful vibrancy and potential for medium-term cellaring." Decanter

"Aromas of glazed apples, lemon pith, walnuts and light spices. Medium- to full-bodied with vivid acidity and a fresh, fruity character. Creamy and a little nutty at the end." James Suckling

Emilio and Elisabetta Foradori only press 8,000 bottles of Fuoripista Pinot Grigio from the biodynamic vineyards of the Campo Rotaliano site every year. The delicate pink-coloured wine is fermented for eight months on the skins in tinajas (Spanish amphorae), where it matures slowly to reveal the delicate character of Pinot Grigio and the forgotten diversity of Trentino. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2022 Pinot Grigio Fuoripista displays pink and orange hues while wafting up with a delicate blend of wild strawberries and minty herbs. It’s soft textured with a core of zesty acidity and sour citrus tones to balance as crunchy orchard fruits cascade across the palate. This leaves a caking of minerality through the long, tension-filled finale as a liquid floral staining slowly fades. The 2022 is a refined example of Pinot Grigio Fuoripista, which may actually benefit from a few more years in bottle." Vinous

Limitation of 2 articles per customer“Fontanasanta” Nosiola Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT 2022 (BIO) · MAGNUM in gift box
Nosiola - an ancient grape variety of Trentino - was once cultivated throughout the country. Today, its cultivation is limited to the mountains and valleys of Trento. The Nosiola grape produces wines of great finesse and longevity. Elisabetta's Nosiola also gains exceptional vigour and energy through biodynamics and ageing in amphora. Give the Nosiola time and be patient: Only after sufficient aeration and at a serving temperature of around 13 degrees does this white wine reveal its full potential. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2022 Nosiola Fontanasanta entices with a bouquet that mixes tropical citrus and sweet spice with nectarines and wet stone. This is a model of purity with zesty orange citrus and brisk acidity up front, giving way to an array of exotic inner florals and hints of raw honey. The 2022 tapers off long and staining yet is still remarkably fresh, leaving candied lime to contrast with sour melon. Wow, the 2022 Nosiola is a joy ride yet maintains an immaculate balance." Vinous

Limitation of 2 articles per customer“Batàr” Bianco Toscana IGT 2020 (BIO)
Batàr is undoubtedly reminiscent of Burgundy, but with unmistakable Tuscan authenticity. Vintage after vintage, Querciabella's forward-thinking winemaking has moved beyond the hedonistic idea of growing foreign, albeit noble, white grapes in a stronghold of red wines to focus on expressing a particular sense of place. The Batàr's inherent vitality and classic minerality clearly come from the high altitude vineyards of Ruffoli and the Galestro soils typical of the best Chianti Classico sites.
Batàr's legendary ability to defy age and improve over time requires a careful combination of hand-picked Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco grapes, timely micro-vinification and patient ageing in barrel. The long time on the lees in high-quality French barriques allows the individual lots to develop their best expression. Only when the optimal maturation is complete is the final assemblage put together through extensive sampling. Further maturation in the bottle before release seals the multi-layered texture that is the proverbial mouthfeel of Batàr.
Exudes elegant aromas of jasmine, peach and sweet tropical fruits and a lively minerality. Batàr secures its many admirers with great finesse and opulent diversity and has undoubtedly been one of Italy's best white wines for decades! SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright light gold. In the nose peppermint, cream, some hazelnut, in the reverberation fine fumé and ripe stone fruit. Smooth and round on the palate, spreads creamy and pleasantly over the tongue, balanced, a little set in the final, still needs time." Falstaff
"The 2020 Batàr, Querciabella's white Chardonnay/White Burgundy, is infused with notes of tangerine oil, jasmine, spices and pear. Later, light tropical accents are added, giving the whole wine a wonderful nuance. The switch to high altitude vineyards and the earlier harvest result in a Batàr that has great freshness and style." Vinous
"The organic Batàr 2020 offers fresh, citrusy notes with lemon curd and candied peach. This barrel-aged white wine also offers medium density and lots of fruit, saffron and light spices. It finishes with fresh acidity." Wine Advocate
"Intense nose of cedar, smoked almonds, mango puree, papaya and lemon pie. Full-bodied, dense and creamy with delicious praline and pie crust character, balanced by just the right amount of lemony acidity." James Suckling
"The 2020 vintage is more herbal than usual, with sage, thyme and a citrussy character, then its typical peach kernel core. The attack is full, silky, concentrated and textured, yet vibrant on the finish. One of the most sought after white wines of Italy, with proven ability to age, Batàr originates from vineyards in Ruffoli, in Greve in Chianti, some of which reach 600m. The Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco grapes are fermented and aged for nine months in French oak. It's a very classic white SuperTuscan (first vintage was 1988) with a stylish Corton-Charlemagne attitude." Decanter

"Fine and creamy nose with lemon curd, minerals and fresh pineapple. Medium to full-bodied on the palate with bright, zesty acidity and a long, layered finish." James Suckling

Chardonnay Sicilia Menfi DOC 2022 (BIO) · MAGNUM in OWC
Planeta's famous Chardonnay is certified organic from the 2022 vintage and exudes a large and rich bouquet with aromas of apricot, apple, lemon, honey and lime. "Lots of wood spice, vanilla and praline with lemon zest and ripe pineapple. Bright and creamy on the palate with a full body and a flavourful, spicy finish. Needs time to balance the wood. Taste from 2025." James Suckling
"The nose is savory but also floral, with undertones of herbs and of syrupy yet tart fruit, from cooked apples to dried pineapple. On the palate, rich flavors of lemon and almond paste both bolster and balance a more potent note of pineapple, before a lightly bitter finish." Wine Enthusiast

"Polished, somewhat nutty and a hint of roasted aroma with fine yellow fruity flavours, a little herbs and hints of fennel and root vegetables. Fairly tightly knit, tart, finely juicy fruit, nutty, smoky and again hints of roasted tones, fine acidity and moderate grip, persistent on the palate, quite concentrated, mineral in the background, fennel and delicate herbal tones in the background, a little lemon peel, hints of pepper, good depth, despite all the power also has something playful, very good, firm and almost cool finish." Chardonnay Toscana IGT 2020 (BIO)
Bright golden colour, explosive aromas of quince, honey, wax, granite, blood orange, vanilla, white chocolate and straw on the full bouquet. On the palate, initial notes of roasted cashew and almond, followed by fruits such as white peach, pear and citrus. Exciting and very multi-faceted. SUPERIORE.DE
"The organic Monteverro 2020 Chardonnay offers a soft and supple character with orchard fruit, quince, pear and mild spice. This wine has a Burgundian quality, especially in terms of mouthfeel and texture, but it reveals its Italian roots thanks to the electric and vibrant notes of citrus and Mediterranean herbs that also appear." Wine Advocate
"Nice, toasty spice with ripe white peaches and mangoes, as well as walnuts and dried summer herbs. Also some freshly baked bread crust. Full-bodied, creamy and mouth-filling. The clean acidity comes through well with its phenolic and mineral nature. I like the racy cut of the spicy herbs on the finish." James Suckling
"Multi-layered nose of peaches, pome fruit, pineapple, sweet spices; of engaging salty minerality on the palate, but also plenty of polish and spice, long as an ell with verve and yet also character. Great wine!" Vinum

“Bòggina B” Trebbiano Toscana IGT 2020 (BIO) · MAGNUM in gift box
Bòggina Bianco is an extremely deep, spicy and fresh Trebbiano from approximately 50-year-old vines. It was born from Luca Sanjust's meeting with Lucien Le Moine (Mounir Souma), a great producer in Burgundy, who contributed significantly to the success of this exceptional project with inspiration and know-how. Vinification takes place in French oak barrels and tonneaux specially made for this wine and selected by Lucien Le Moine. The wine remains "sur lies" (on the lees) for the entire ageing period of over 2 years, which gives it an immensely fresh aroma and harmony. An extremely rare, exceptional white wine that is only produced in a small edition of a few 1,000 bottles. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright straw yellow with a white-gold reflex. Cream and bourbon vanilla on the nose, then intense mint, sage and medicinal herbs, some citrus and golden apple in the finish. On the palate with a certain juiciness, stretches over the tongue with delicate tannin, of medium length, drinks easily and without fuss." Falstaff
"The Trebbiano Boggina B 2020 is rich, structured and very expressive. Orchard fruit, dried flowers, chamomile and a hint of tangerine oil run through this creamy, smooth Trebbiano. This wine is very well made." Vinous
"The Petrolo 2020 Bòggina B is a pure expression of Trebbiano, a creamy, full-bodied white wine with generous aromas of honey, crushed nuts, yellow roses and flint. The quality of the 2020 vintage is particularly rich and sunny. The organically grown fruit comes from a two-hectare site with rocky Galestro soils. In Tuscany today, there is discussion about what could one day become the region's great, age-worthy white grape variety. Many winemakers are betting on Trebbiano." Wine Advocate
"Lots of lemon curd and wax with mustard floral undertones. Transitions into Brazilian lime. Also a hint of fresh bay leaf. Full-bodied, tangy and beautiful. Very long and delicious. Peanuts and white sesame. Outstanding. Unique and very Tuscan." James Suckling
