“DUBL” Metodo Classico Rosé VSQ brut
Feudi di San Gregorio's DUBL project was born in 2004 from an awareness of the great richness of the autochthonous vines of the Irpinia region and the desire to open up new horizons for them: as a Metodo Classico Spumante or by means of the famous Méthode Champenoise. An advisor was quickly found for this - none other than Anselme Selosse, who is known for his champagnes and his feeling for the particularities of the vines and vineyards.
Light salmon pink. Soft, creamy foam, red wild berries on the nose, plus some cherry blossom and a fine almond note. On the palate, a silky texture with a full, lively core. A high-class Metodo Classico from Campania that captivates us not only because of its freshness and elegance. SUPERIORE.DE

“Serpara” Aglianico del Vulture Superiore DOCG 2016
The Serpara is elegant, intense and long-lasting every year. Its grapes come from a single vineyard and the wine matures in a combination of new and used French Allier oak barrels. In the glass, it exudes aromas of blackberries, tobacco, sage, thyme and a hint of smoked meat. It has a soft, almost creamy texture and juicy acids that keep the balance, while ripe black fruits and minerals move effortlessly across the palate. The bold tannins make their presence felt on the final, but are more of an accent that frames the experience well, while hints of dark chocolate and balsamic spices slowly fade away. SUPERIORE.DE
"This wine from the cru of the same name is the interpretation of the tension and juiciness of Aglianico. The mouthfeel shows notes of alcoholic cherries, laurel and white pepper. Dense and exciting on the palate, with iodised, chalky tannins and a fruity finish." Luca Gardini
"This wine has aromas of rosemary, dried strawberries, grilled plums, smoked paprika and mocha. It is spicy and flavourful, with a full body and firm, chewy tannins. Long, spicy and smoky finish." James Suckling

“Vigna Andrea” Taurasi DOCG 2019
Taurasi Vigna Andrea - a rich Aglianico with outstanding depth. On the nose, typical varietal aromas of dark cherries, plums, smoke, cedar wood and tobacco, which develop wonderfully over time. Complex on the palate, with a good portion of velvety tannins and a deep, masculine finish. Great ageing and maturation potential. SUPERIORE.DE
"A distinctive red, with a rich note of fresh loamy earth and hints of dark chocolate and sage, layered with dried raspberry, blackberry coulis and macerated black cherry flavors. Reveals a savory, sanguine edge that reins in the rich fruit flavors, as does a frame of bright orange peel acidity. Offers taut, chalky tannins that firm the finish. Let this open in the glass or decant." Wine Spectator
"The Taurasi Vigna Andrea 2019 tantalises the senses with sweet exotic spices and cedar wood shavings that fade into medicinal blackberries and cherries. It is silky and polished on the palate. A lively acidity accompanies the ripe wild berry fruit, while the fine tannins slowly build up towards the end. The 2019 finishes lightly structured with lingering candied sweetness, tactile mineral tones and a hint of blood orange. The 2019 is deceptively accessible today, but wonderfully balanced for a long and successful development." Vinous

“Fusonero” Taurasi DOCG 2015
The new Fusonero is a delight all along the line: in the bouquet fresh rose scent, spices, red berries, mint and liquorice. The palate is dominated by light, soft aromas, while the wilder, impetuous side of the Aglianico grape is elegantly restrained. It is a particularly silky, fragrant Taurasi, immediate, attractive - and with great depth and potential. SUPERIORE.DE

"The Feudi di San Gregorio NV Metodo Classico Dubl Edition I Brut Rosato is a fresh and vibrant sparkling wine made with the versatile Aglianico grape. It ages on the yeasts in bottle for 36 months. Showing a light pink color, the bouquet is shy at first, but it slowly opens to tart cherry, raspberry and petrichor (or rain-soaked pavement). The wine's beading is mild and soft." Wine Advocate

Radici Taurasi DOCG 2017
Taurasi Radici 2017 is a dark and savoury wine with densely stacked aromas of black fruit, tar, liquorice and bonfire ash. This is a Taurasi between tenor and bass from a warm and sunny vintage, characterised by concentrated and rich flavours. Despite the obvious power you get here, it remains concentrated and sharp in a beautiful way. SUPERIORE.DE
"The Mastroberardino 2017 Taurasi Riserva Radici shows evolved fruit notes and abundant oak toast with campfire ash, cooked plum, exotic spice and barbecue. This was a challenging vintage in southern Italy with very hot and dry growing conditions that made for difficult fruit selection. You sense that ripeness here thanks to the wine's rather abundant personality and its cooked fruit flavors." Wine Advocate
"Ripe fruit and medicinal herbs on the nose continue on the palate, with crushed black raspberries and cassis, Earl Grey tea leaves and hints of mocha and tarry smoke. Fresh and well-knit, with chalky, plastic tannins and a finish that reflects the fruit, herbs and mineral character." Wine Spectator
"Already complex on the nose with blue and black fruits as well as notes of nori, goudron and spices such as cinnamon and mace. Full-bodied with intense, almost steely fruit and mineral flavours and firm, medium-grained tannins. The quality is obvious here. It's still a little rough around the edges at the moment and needs a few years to settle down and develop in all directions. Try it from 2023 onwards." James Suckling
"The 2017 Taurasi Radici is a force to be reckoned with as it bursts from the glass with masses of raspberry, redcurrant and plum, complemented by an array of autumnal spices and crushed violets. Its textural depth and density is impressive, silky, almost creamy, but perfectly contrasted by a core of mineral black fruits and vibrant acids, while a hint of rose and clove builds towards the finish. The 2017 is persistent and structured, but also incredibly fresh, with fine tannins framing the smoky, mineral tones and lingering notes of blackberry and olive. This is a wonderful interpretation of Radici that should offer harvesta slightly earlier drinking window than normally expected. However, we are talking about a Taurasi here, and this wine has a very bright future ahead of it." Vinous

“La Firma” Aglianico del Vulture DOC 2016
"La Firma" - "The Signature". Gerardo Giuratrabocchetti's wines recall his father's notarial world with their names.
La Firma, a single varietal Aglianico aged in natural caves of volcanic tuff, carats and French oak barrels. Beautiful ruby red with bright violet reflections. Complex bouquet with aromas of small black berries, liquorice and hay. Powerful and very harmonious on the palate, characterised by velvety tannins and a long, balsamic finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Elegant, distinctive nose of black cherries and plums and complex liquorice notes. Dry and firm on the palate, long finish." Decanter
"A dark and peppery red with blueberries, peppercorns, blackcurrants, dark chocolate and dried herbs on the nose. It’s full-bodied, fine and focused, with fine-grained tannins. Excellent freshness, too." James Suckling
"The 2016 Aglianico del Vulture La Firma rises from the glass with an expectedly fresh but truly seductive and spicy bouquet that presents bright cherry berries, cinnamon, clove and sweet violet flowers. The palate is velvety-smooth as it leans more towards the spicy spectrum, with a depth of mineral blackcurrant complicated by spiced citrus peel, while purple flowers shine through within. The 2016 leaves a black hole of structure and primary concentration during the long and dramatic final, while nuances of raw honey and plum skin fade." Vinous

Radici Taurasi DOCG 2018
A very special wine made from overripe and strictly selected Aglianico grapes that thrive in Mastroberardino's south-facing vineyards. The Taurasi is aged for two years in oak barrels and one year in the bottle. A wine with a fascinating personality, power and extremely high ageing Storage potential. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2018 Taurasi Radici is like pushing through a cinder block to find a treasure chest of exotic spices, incense and cinnamon-coloured blackcurrants. It's a soft and generous expression of Radici, with a depth of tart black fruits balanced by dark chocolate and sour citrus notes. It finishes with tremendous length, but without the typical hard tannins associated with Aglianico in its youth, leaving behind inner earth and herbal notes. The 2018 finishes on a savoury note. This Radici is a much stronger expression of Radici." Vinous
"Bright ruby red with a slightly brightening rim. On the nose, ripe heart cherries and dark forest berries, with an aftertaste of violets, leather and undergrowth, very complex. Fresh and savoury on the palate, with fine-grained and well-integrated tannins, lots of ripe fruit, long final, a long runner." Falstaff
"The Mastroberardino 2018 Taurasi Radici, with its distinctive black label, offers impressive complexity with a long succession of flavours that include dried blackberries, cherry liqueur, tarry smoke, campfire ash, sweet baking spices and cinnamon. Blackberries, rosemary sprigs and forest floor also characterise the bouquet. The whole is rounded off with soft tobacco. This wine displays powerful fruit and an equally balanced oak flavour. The tannins are well integrated and the Radici is long-lasting." Wine Advocate
"The nose is heavy with dark fruit and flowers, but edgier, slightly spicy aromas of graphite and pepper provide balance. On the palate, the fruit sweetens but is balanced by bitter dark chocolate, before an overwhelming earthiness arrives riding an avalanche of dusty tannins, and a rush of acid harkens back to the subtle metallic tang of the nose." “Titolo” Aglianico del Vulture DOC 2021 (BIO)
Elena Fucci's exceptional Titolo wine is built for the long haul. It will continue its steady development for at least the next 20 years, which is why it is particularly enjoyable when aged in magnum format. Dark ruby red in colour, the bouquet has aromas of ripe red fruit and a fine woody spice. The wine is assembled with enormous precision, offering a balanced intensity and a beautiful degree of fruit purity that speaks both in favour of the Aglianico grape and the extreme region that produces it. Titolo impresses with its fine texture and elegantly integrated tannins. This is the kind of masterful Aglianico performance we love. SUPERIORE.DE
"The Aglianico del Vulture Classico Titolo 2021 is unmissable with a classic bouquet that blends tart black fruit and citrus notes with exotic spices, incense and ash stone. Seamless and silky to the touch, it is elegant through and through. Crisp red and black berries combine with a mixture of mineral notes and piquant acidity. The tannins only become noticeable on the finish, which is crisp and angular, yet retains a perfect freshness. The 2021 rejuvenates with nuances of liquorice and sage. This racy version of the Titolo impresses on so many levels." Vinous
"The 2021 Aglianico del Vulture Titolo is indeed a classic Elena Fucci and the wine you should buy if you love her distinctive style. It opens with sweet flavours that come from the velvety ripeness of the fruit, but also from the careful ageing in oak. Baked plums, rum cake and dried fruit mingle with honey granules on the nose. The finish of the Titolo is very long and is characterised by an acidic freshness and the grippy tannins typical of this grape variety. In this case, the tannins are not too dry and there is enough power to drive future development in the bottle." Wine Advocate
"An exceptional terroir, from 50-70 year old vines, in one of its favourite cradles, the volcanic soil of Barile. The Titolo is a masterpiece: tension, citrus fruit, pomegranate and a sometimes iodised finish. In the mouth, it is vertical, savoury, with great elegance and depth." Luca Gardini

“Titolo” Aglianico del Vulture DOC 2019
Elena Fucci's exceptional Titolo wine is already built for the long haul in its "basic version". "On the nose, smoky, sanguine notes of graphite and cured meat are balanced by the fruitiness of cherries and red plums. The fruit notes headline the palate, but an undertone of chili jam leads into a resurgentally meaty finish, while acid bounces around contoured tannins." Wine Enthusiast
"The Aglianico del Vulture Titolo 2019 is stunning. It opens with an exotic flair that blends smoky plum and lavender with animal musk, ash stone and a hint of sour citrus that enlivens the senses. The palate is silky and supple, quickly gaining youthful tannic tension, but not before offering a taste of mentholated herbal tones and a depth of mineral dark fruit that will take centre stage after a few years of cellaring. The wine finishes incredibly long and structured, leaving a hint of primary concentration lingering under a hint of pretty inner flowers and savoury spice. I believe that the 2019 could one day be one of the best vintages ever produced by Elena Fucci's Titolo." Vinous

“Piano di Montevergine” Taurasi Riserva DOCG 2016
Feudi's Riserva Piano di Montevergine is only vinified in outstanding years. The wine has a very impressive concentration and great richness in every vintage. Dark and brooding on first impression, it slowly awakens in the glass with a captivating blend of menthol, mint and exotic spices that evolves with a lively note of cinnamon-dusted redcurrant. This velvety-smooth and elegant wine appears heavy at first, but is quickly enlivened by a core of vibrant acidity and zesty citrus notes that embellish the tart black fruits. The tannins on the finish are sweet and chalky, while notes of wild red plum and blood orange keep the tasterer coming back for more. SUPERIORE.DE
"Very fragrant and exotic nose of fresh dates, Turkish delight, red berries and mustard seeds. Full-bodied with firm, silky tannins and some Riserva-style oak, which gives the fruit a darker edge without taking away the exotic character. The fruit and spices even lighten up on the finish. Long and flavourful with plenty of variety. It's interesting to try it now, but it still has a long way to go." James Suckling
"Offering a dark and savory underpinning of cured tobacco, fresh earth, leather and iron notes, this focused red is also fresh and vibrant, with ripe, crushed black raspberry and mulberry fruit, plus hints of red licorice, espresso crema, graphite and milled pepper. Showing a core of taut, fine-grained tannins, this 2016 is still tightly meshed and dense after extended aging. This opens nicely in the glass and should shine with additional cellaring." Wine Spectator
"The Feudi di San Gregorio 2016 Taurasi Riserva Piano di Montevergine is a significant wine that has raised the bar in this storied appellation. It shows well-managed development, polished tannins, dark fruit and plenty of savoury spice and campfire ash. There are also some dusty minerals that give it definition and complexity." Wine Advocate
"Plum sauce, pencil lead, clove, balsamic spice, mint, rosemary, stone dust, rose petals and more... Every time the Taurasi Riserva Piano di Monte Vergine 2016 is tipped in the glass, it seems to reveal further depths. This wine is simply stunning, with a silky texture of tart wild berries, citrus and brilliant acidity. Energetic but still youthfully tense and structured, its web of fine-grained tannins appears late and slowly tightens as rosemary and tangerine resonance mingle and fizzle out. The Piano di Monte Vergine 2016 is a classic in the making." Vinous

“Il Sigillo” Aglianico del Vulture DOC 2015
"Il Sigillo" - "The Seal". Gerardo Giuratrabocchetti's wines recall his father's notarial world with their names.
Aglianico del Vulture of enormous beauty. Dark and impenetrable, it lies in the glass, from which opulent tones of dark fruits, spices and stony nuances emerge. Seamless and massive on the palate, structural richness, tannic sweetness, fine fresh acidity. A soulful, very promising drop with a great future. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark and creamy, with chocolate-covered cherry flavors, accents of dried rosemary, spiced orange peel and a base note of minerally iron and smoke. Delivers dense, plush tannins, which are wrapped in the juicy flavor profile and emerge to firm the finish." Wine Spectator
"The 2015 Aglianico del Vulture Il Sigillo is a beast. It slowly opens in the glass, at first peppery and herbal, focused on earth tones and hints of musk. With time, a more perfumed mix comes to the fore, as nuances of mint give way to tart cherry, incense and smoke. Within, I’m finding texturally elegant waves of dark red and black fruits, washing across the senses with prominence, boasting full-bodied heft, yet expertly balanced by a vibrant core of acidity. There are depths here yet unseen, as a kaleidoscopic mix of dark chocolate, licorice, and cloves battle for supremacy against a coating of fine tannins throughout the finale. The 2015 is just a baby today, yet full of potential. Il Sigillo is made through a partial drying of late harvested grapes, similar to Amarone. It’s refined for 24 months in a combination of barriques and tonneaux." Vinous

“Core” Aglianico Campania IGT 2017 · MAGNUM in gift box
Montevetrano's "second wine" shows, as so often, the great class of Silvia Imparato's winery. Great Aglianico nose of blue flowers, wild berries, blackberries and black cherry. Silky and powerful at the same time, very deep and herbaceous, with a fine mineral vein and a well-proportioned tannin. The already existing elegance will increase with further maturity. Very successful! SUPERIORE.DE
"Sweet violet florals lift effortlessly from the 2017 Montevetrano Core, followed by white smoke, crushed blackberry, and cherry, as dark earth tones evolve. On the palate, silky textures are complemented by polished black fruits, as savory herbs and minerals slowly saturate the senses. The finish is medium in length, resonating on mineral-laden dark fruits and hints of spice, with a coating of fine tannin providing grip. I find myself craving more depth here, yet this is wonderfully balanced and already very easy to like." Vinous
"The Montevetrano 2017 Aglianico Core reveals a dark and velvety appearance with pretty color saturation. Core is a genuine and honest wine that does a very nice job of portraying the basics of Aglianico. You get the power and structure of the fruit, as well as the grape's dark and savory aromas of blackberry, cassis and dark cherry. The wine also promises freshness and accessibility. Try this with a montanara fritta, a fried, thick mini-pizza from Naples stuffed with provolone, salami and tomato sauce." Wine Advocate
"A full-bodied and structured red with spice, black-pepper and bark undertones to the cherries and dried fruit. Some dried earth, too. Extremely powerful. Try after 2023." James Suckling

“Titolo by Amfora” Aglianico del Vulture DOC 2020 (BIO)
This genuine Aglianico speciality from 70-year-old vines is aged in terracotta amphorae for 18 months, giving it greater juiciness, freshness and depth. Intense ruby red in colour with garnet hues. Spicy hints of pepper and fruit jam, blackcurrant and tobacco on the cautiously reductive nose. Great structure, complexity and a certain originality on the palate, which, together with a fine minerality, makes it an exceptionally drinkyred. SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2020 is an incredibly beautiful vintage for Amphora's Aglianico del Vulture Titolo, as a cool, almost minty freshness gives way to savoury nuances of blackberry, sage and white pepper. On the palate it seems to float, silky and opulent but almost weightless, while a cascade of mineral black fruits is perfectly lifted by a stimulating acidity and a hint of sour citrus. It leaves behind a layer of fine tannins that seem to crackle and fade slowly, while notes of red plum and liquorice linger for over a minute. The 2020 is undoubtedly the most engaging and complete vintage of Titolo by Amphora I have ever tasted. Brava!" Vinous

“Titolo by Amfora” Aglianico del Vulture DOC 2021 (BIO)
This genuine Aglianico speciality from 70-year-old vines is aged in terracotta amphorae for 18 months, giving it greater juiciness, freshness and depth. Intense ruby red in colour with garnet hues. Spicy hints of pepper and fruit jam, blackcurrant and tobacco on the cautiously reductive nose. Great structure, complexity and a certain originality on the palate, which, together with a fine minerality, makes it an exceptionally drinkyred. SUPERIORE.DE
"A spicy, sanguine nose features notes of pepper, metal and olives, but violet and black-cherry undertones provide levity. The palate leans into the sanguine, meaty notes of earth and fire, while the fruit also turns darker and deeper, before ultimately plunging into a dark-chocolate finish, which is structured by polished yet firm tannins." Wine Enthusiast
"Amphora's 2021 Aglianico del Vulture Titolo is peppery and perfumed with a mentholated herbal nuance that segues into musky blackcurrant and exotic spice. Silky and enveloping, it calms down with a wave of polished red and black fruits, ideally lifted by a cooling acidity, while a minty freshness builds towards the end. The final is structured and long, leaving a layer of crystalline tannins that linger with a hint of fresh rosemary. The Titolo By Amphora shows wonderfully soft contours and vibrant fruit that make it a pleasure to drink despite its youthful state." Vinous
"The 2021 Elena Fucci Aglianico del Vulture from Amphora's organic vineyard has a ripe and fleshy personality with plenty of added texture and richness. On the mid-palate, this wine is full, almost heavy, with blackberries, dried blackcurrants, dusty ash, black liquorice and the blackened crust of toasted bread. As the name of the wine suggests, clay amphorae are used in the winemaking process, so you really experience the dark intensity of the primary fruit. This is a precious and limited edition of 1,800 bottles." Wine Advocate

“Serpico” Aglianico Irpinia DOC 2015
Serpico is an authentic, long-lasting wine made from Aglianico grapes, some of which come from vines that are over 100 years old. Intense, deep ruby red colour and an extremely complex bouquet with aromas of cherries, sweet spices, liquorice, coffee and cocoa. Impressive its extraordinary concentration and aromaticity as well as the enormously persistent finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright, rich ruby red with a slightly brightening rim. In the nose of ripe sour cherries and plums, then liquorice and coffee. Very concentrated on the palate, with strong tannin, juicy, well balanced, with a long final." Falstaff
"Taut and linear, this opens with aromas of red berry, pipe tobacco and eucalyptus. The firm, elegantly structured palate delivers sour cherry, cassis, star anise and a hint of smoke before finishing on an accent of coffee. Taut, fine-grained tannins provide the framework." Wine Enthusiast
"There are darker tones of purple and black fruit and some savory chocolate flavors as well in the 2015 Irpinia Aglianico Serpico. This is an ambitious and deeply layered wine that peels back to reveal more spice, tar and volcanic ash hidden deep within its core. I would suggest some more bottle age with this wine, however, as the mouthfeel is sharp and etched in its youth. The wine needs a little more time to flesh out and put on more volume. Serpico goes through an 18-month aging regime in medium-toast French oak." Wine Advocate

“Sassius” Aglianico Riserva Molise DOC 2016 (BIO)
Dark, concentrated ruby red colour. Complex on the nose with an abundance of ripe red and black berry fruit aromas, including sour cherry, blackcurrant and elderberry, followed by notes of dried violets, sweet spices, liquorice, cocoa powder, mentholated tobacco and eucalyptus. Rich and multi-layered on the palate, powerful and soft with youthful but well-integrated tannins and excellent acidity. Only reveals its large reservoir of impressions after some aeration. Very long on the finish, great ageing potential. SUPERIORE.DE
"The deeply umami nose features aromas of balsamic, pepper, soil and iron, with an undertone of sun-dried tomato providing some levity. On the palate, a wave of tart fruit crashes over more leathery, meaty flavors, before a hot finish that's underscored by tightly wound tannins and acid." Wine Enthusiast

Taurasi DOCG 2016
Pietracupas Taurasi (small edition 4,000 bottles) is a real rarity and still an insider tip. It demonstrates excellent balance and has a very long, silky texture that does not lack power and freshness. You will find lots of dark fruits like cherry and blackberry, but also earthy tones as well as pencil shavings and sweet spices from the oak. Great potential, wonderfully long and strong in character. SUPERIORE.DE
"Aromas of grilled meat, plum and a subtle honeysuckle note. Full-bodied with silky tannins. Spicy on the palate with lots of dried herbs and earthy spices. Finish with coffee." James Suckling

Radici Taurasi Riserva DOCG 2017
Bright, powerful ruby colour, aromas of cherry, redcurrant, cocoa and tar. Juicy, spicy and bright, with firm acidity and taut tannins that give it definition and lift to the flavours. Very fresh and precise, persistent and smooth. It has outstanding potential. If you taste the decades-old wines from Mastroberardino (dating back to 1928), it becomes clear: these wines are monumental, immortal or at least for eternity. SUPERIORE.DE
"Rich ruby red colour with a slightly brightening rim. Ripe blackberries and rich plums on the nose, with a subtle hint of dark chocolate, coffee grounds, liquorice and a touch of leather in the background. Powerful but well-integrated tannins on the palate, with plenty of ripe fruit and a long final." Falstaff
"The nose is tart, spicy and assertive, with aromas of blackberries, pepper and hot iron. On the palate, black cherries bolster the blackberry tartness, before new intrigue comes in the form of a fresh herbaceousness and a coffee bitterness. Acid punches past strong yet silent tannins." Wine Enthusiast
"Complex and deep character with ripe blackberries, sultanas, dried roses, dark chocolate, roasted walnuts, dark liquorice and wild mushrooms with some tar. Full-bodied, multi-layered and compact with a broad and velvety tannin structure that lingers on the palate. Classic, restrained style with a hint of sweet tobacco on the finish. Needs three to four years to fully develop." James Suckling
"An indispensable part of the peninsula's winemaking history, a Taurasi that is impossible not to call iconic. Cherries and laurel on the nose, a hint of eucalyptus, dogwood peel and undergrowth, salty, dense and compact in the mouth, with a citrusy finish." Luca Gardini

“Core” Aglianico Campania IGT 2020 · MAGNUM in gift box
Core Rosso impresses with a blend of dark, rich fruit, exotic spices, boulders and peppery herbs. It is unexpectedly soft and airy, with a pure display of pure plums, complemented by nuances of sage and rosy flowers that develop towards the end. A layer of fine tannin leads into the lingering final, while hints of liquorice and blackcurrant linger. Great ageing potential! SUPERIORE.DE
"A lighter expression of aglianico, handled with aplomb. Sapid red cherry, lilac, a waft of tobacco, licorice root and a curb of freshness. Among the better approaches to crafting this wiry variety into an earlier drinking expression, sans any sacrifice of integrity. Prosaic in the most delicious sense." James Suckling
"Core means "heart" in the Italian dialect, and a heart-shaped drawing is prominent on the front label. The Montevetrano 2020 Core Rosso has some hot-vintage astringency but not much, with fine chalky tannins. Made with 100% Aglianico, the wine is fruit-forward to be sure, with inky black cherry and ripe plum. There is pretty spice on the close." Wine Advocate

“Terra d’Eclano” Aglianico Irpinia DOC 2020
The dark and seductive bouquet opens with blackberry jam, blueberries and peppery floral tones, which are found on the palate together with salty notes and a fine tannin. Its enormously silky texture and well-dosed concentration of black fruits are accompanied by a remarkable freshness that builds and builds until the endlessly long final. This lively and at the same time incredibly elegant red wine delights on the finish with minty herbs and flowers that could not be more seductive. With increasing years of ageing in the bottle, you can look forward to a few more positive surprises! SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2020 Aglianico Terra d'Eclano is a model of class, with a gorgeous bouquet of violets, lavender, dried blueberries and incense. Its silky texture soothes as the polished red and black fruits flow over a core of vibrant acidity. Rosy, floral notes are surrounded by soft tannins. Black tea, tart wild berries and citrus notes slowly fade away. The 2020 is a remarkably beautiful and complex interpretation of Terra d'Eclano." Vinous
"Aromas of blackberries and blueberries against a background of floral and vegetal notes that add complexity and interest to the wine. Medium-bodied with an almost tart plum flavour. The palate is taut and the tannins are fine but powerful, drying out the finish for the moment. Give it some time and try it from 2024." James Suckling
"Made with a special selection of fruit from across five vineyard sites with different soil profiles, the Quintodecimo 2020 Irpinia Aglianico Terra d'Eclano is the most approachable of these reds with ripe primary fruit and softness. Fruit in 2020 shows abundant ripeness, texture and richness with baked blackberry, cherry liqueur, caramel, toasted spice and campfire ember. This wine is underlined by power and ripeness." “I Vaggiatori” Aglianico Campania IGT 2017
I Viaggiatori is a particularly finely woven Aglianico. Its grapes come from almost 200-year-old open-air vineyards with vines that are already over a hundred years old. The Paternopoli area, one of the highest areas of the Taurasi Valley, lies in the green heart of Irpina. The cool, continental climate here allows the Aglianico to ripen very slowly and thus retain its fresh and extremely elegant profile.
Intense ruby red with garnet reflections. Rich and complex on the nose, with aromas of small red and dark fruits, undergrowth, tobacco and coffee. On the palate, full-bodied, warmly enveloping, yet very fresh and balanced. Its dense and ripe fruit makes every sip harmonious and profound. Beautiful, very long finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright crimson red. Very lively fruit and fine tannin with well balanced acidity. Very refreshing and interesting." Jancis Robinson

“Terra di Lavoro” Rosso Campania IGP 2018
2018 was another challenging year for classic, natural winemaking. And yet Terra di Lavoro is more classic than ever in this vintage: Dark ruby with violet reflections. Compact, initially closed nose, then the wine opens up with dark tones of blueberry, eucalyptus and liquorice root. Likewise on the palate, restrained at first and only gradually do the seemingly endless layers open up to reveal plenty of fruity notes, a sweet and sour charge of red berries and a beguilingly vinous taste experience. There is no doubt about it, this is the wildly romantic interpretation of a Terra di Lavoro that could not be more authentic and we are very curious to see how it will develop in the coming years/decades. Because so much time simply has to be. SUPERIORE.DE
"A celebrated blend of 80% Aglianico and 20% Piedirosso, the Galardi 2018 Terra di Lavoro is redolent of plum and dark cherry confit. There is a mature, baked quality to the fruit with background notes of white pepper and ample spice or vanilla from French oak. However, the wine is tannic and sharp in terms of mouthfeel, and you can't help but wonder if phenolic ripening was off in this vintage. It might just need to smooth out with more bottle age." Wine Advocate
"The 2018 Terra di Lavoro is wonderfully expressive and fruit-forward, with a bouquet that blends violets with sweet autumnal spices, black cherry and blueberry jam. It’s soft and round in feel, filling the palate with ripe red fruits, as a savory-salty tension builds, and brisk acids maintain an unexpectedly vibrant impression. Its structure comes forward through the finale, pinching at the cheeks with grippy poise, while leaving a seductive mix of plum, licorice, hints of tangerine and purple-tinged inner florals. While I don’t expect the 2018 to be the longest-lived Terra di Lavoro, it will deliver many years of drinking pleasure after only a short stay in the cellar. Frankly, its bouquet alone makes it difficult to pull yourself away from the glass. This is a blend of 80% Aglianico and 20% Piedirosso that spends a year in barrique." Vinous
"Crushed berries, black pepper, cloves, ash and hot stones. It’s full-bodied and dense with chewy tannins and a long, flavorful finish. It’s tight and very structured in the mouth. Chewy yet polished tannins. Unique flavors of tar and black stones. Drink after 2024." James Suckling
