This classic red wine is grown on marl and clay-rich soils on the high, steep hills near Taurasi, not far from the Tyrrhenian Sea. The soils are rich in minerals and salts, lending the Aglianico grape a wonderful depth and minerality.

The nose of the Taurasi Pietrafusa is spicy and intense, with notes of crushed blackberries, citrus fruits, stones, sage and a refreshing hint of mint. On the palate, the soft texture gains in richness as it flows over the senses with notes of ripe black fruits, salty minerals and sweet herbal hints. The finish is long and structured, revealing the wine's tannic power, blended with resonant acidity and lingering dark fruit.
