A big step on the path to depth: Core Rosso is the red-black equivalent of the well-known white wine – a single-varietal Aglianico that uncompromisingly embodies the power and elegance of this indigenous grape variety. The grapes come from limestone-rich vineyards at the foot of Monte Soprano in Sannio locations, where cool nights and Mediterranean heat peaks allow for perfect ripening. Good balance, ripe fruit and fine acidity.

Rich ruby red in the glass with a dark rim. Aromas of ripe sour cherry, blackberry, smoke and violets on the nose, with a hint of liquorice and balsamic herbal spice. Powerful and dense on the palate, with structuring tannins, lively acidity and juicy fruit. The ageing in French barriques lends depth and structure without masking the elegance of the grape variety. Core is multi-layered and ambitious, with a solid backbone and plenty of drinkability. An Aglianico with origin and modernity, tension and accessibility – and all at a high level. SUPERIORE.DE
