    Maurizio Castelli does not like fanciful names. That is why, when naming the estate and its flagship wine, he opted for a simple yet original approach: 414 – the plot's number in the region's land registry. His Morellino has now become a true Italian classic with a modern twist. The grapes come from biodynamically farmed hills around Scansano, where the Sangiovese vines have deep roots.

    A vibrant ruby red with a slight violet rim. The bouquet captivates with juicy raspberries, ripe cherries and freshly cut tomatoes, accompanied by subtle notes of rosemary and thyme, as well as a delicate hint of liquorice. The structure is elegant: firm tannins, well-integrated acidity and juicy fruit. The finish is characterised by fresh spice and a mineral-driven length. It impresses with its regional character, freshness and precision; a wine that combines tradition with a highly appealing modernity.
