The dense, well-articulated Rigoleto made predominantly from organically grown Sangiovese grapes is extremely drinkable. The bouquet beguiles with beautiful aromas of dried plums and dark cherries. Opens with a lively bouquet of wild strawberries, rhubarb, violets and crushed stones. Silky to the touch, Rigoleto has impressive weight yet wonderful energy as a wave of ripe red and blue fruit swirls under the scent of lavender and spice. SUPERIORE.DE

"Shimmering ruby red with delicate rim brightening. Blackberry, cherry and fresh thyme on the nose. Juicy and fresh on the palate, fruit-driven, harmonious structure, medium length." Falstaff

"Smells of raspberries and violets, subtle nougat and spices; juicy texture, compact structure, the acidity vif, fine tart final." Vinum

"The 2023 Montecucco Rosso Rigoleto blends peppery wild berries with dusty rose and cinnamon spice. It is wickedly fresh and juicy in style, with crisp mineral tones and a core of vibrant red fruit. The 2023 leaves the senses reset through the long yet fresh finish as nuances of licorice linger." I love it. It is the second wine we drink from Colle Massari and this is totally my type of wine. Very good Montecucco, can spend a few more months in the cellar.
