Three Dolcetto parcels in Neive and one wine: Cottà, Basarin and San Cristoforo consist of calcareous marl soils with sandy veins. The grapes are harvested selectively by hand; fermentation takes place spontaneously in stainless steel with a maceration period of around three weeks in order to gain flavour, grip and depth. The wine then rests exclusively in the tank on the fine lees until early bottling – without the use of wood, focussing entirely on precision and drinking flow.

Bright ruby colour with a violet hue. Red cherry, blackberry and sloe on the nose, along with violets, a hint of herbal spice and the fine almondy accent that is so popular with Dolcetto. Juicy, cool and straightforward on the palate: clear, dark red fruit, lively, well-focussed acidity and fine-grained, grippy tannins that give the wine contour and tension. The long, fresh finish carries a stony, mineral flavour. A purist Dolcetto with character and finesse, straightforward, easy to drink and at the same time serious enough to gain complexity over the coming years. SUPERIORE.DE
