Demesse Vecchie is named after the village where Olivini has its family seat. The historic part of the vineyard was home to a nunnery in the late 17th century. The addition "vecchie" promises that the grapes for this very complex Lugana come from the estate's oldest vines, some of which are over 50 years old. They are also harvested late and carefully selected, after which they are matured on the fine lees for several months.

Bright straw yellow with golden reflections. The bouquet opens with ripe yellow plums, Williams pears, white flowers and hints of lemon balm, complemented by fine notes of almonds and a hint of vanilla from the partial maturation in wood. Full-bodied and harmonious on the palate, with ripe, juicy fruit, a gentle creaminess and a fine mineral vein. The texture is silky, the acidity subtle but carrying, which gives the wine length and balance. The final is complex, slightly salty and delicately spicy. A Lugana that delights with depth and elegance in equal measure – and masterfully exploits the great potential of the Turbiana (Trebbiano di Lugana) grape variety. SUPERIORE.DE
