    Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and a touch of Merlot, produced using the traditional Ripasso method! This wine was created by Giuseppe in honour of his grandmother Franca and has a distinct Quintarelli style. Dark ruby with brownish highlights. On the nose, sweetish aromas of dark red berries, damp forest floor and a hint of fine winter truffle. On the palate, it is highly concentrated and powerful, with lovely smoothness and finely-grained tannins. Its full body and extraordinary complexity reveal greater depth, a variety of flavours and a delicately sweet Amarone-style character with every sip.

    This is not a whimsical experiment by a quality fanatic, but a serious, refined wine with a distinct character and terrificageing potential. SUPERIORE.DE

    "A claret sort of blend, with 20% merlot meshed to even parts cab and cab franc, dried in the traditional fashion for nigh on two months. A wine of latent power, the tannic mettle serving to compress prune, alpine amaro scents, licorice root and camphor. Palate-staining. While this may metastasize into something more poised and savory as time has its way, the finish is currently a bit drying and throaty." James Suckling
