Campo ai Sassi takes its name from the stony soils that lend CastelGiocondo's Sangiovese its character. Anyone wishing to discover the flavour of the terroir of this great Brunello estate without having to wait years for the wine to mature will find a youthful, carefree answer here. The vines grow in the broodingsoils of the estate, situated south-west of Montalcino, which lend the Sangiovese its fruitiness and elegance. After fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, with careful punching down to ensure gentle extraction, the wine matures in oak barrels before taking on its final form in the bottle.

A bright, deep ruby red. Notes of rose and violet blend with red and black berries, complemented by a hint of bergamot and a spicy edge. Remarkably well-balanced on the palate, with supple tannins and a lively acidity, finishing with floral and fruity notes.
