The Contrada Arrigo is situated on the northern slope of Mount Etna, 610 metres above sea level, facing north-east with a view of the sea. Wine has been grown on this millennia-old soil since time immemorial. It is rich in organic matter and consists mainly of volcanic sand and lava stones from a volcanic eruption in 1180. Significant temperature fluctuations between day and night result in a slow ripening process that preserves freshness and minerality.

The uniqueness of this terroir lies in its particular ability to store spring water more effectively than other soils, which promotes early and consistent growth of the vines. As the season progresses, the water reserves gradually diminish, allowing the vine to focus its energy exclusively on ripening the grapes and abandoning any further growth. This is why the Arrigo is a "wise terroir". It supports the vine only when it is most beneficial to it. Furthermore, it exercises restraint, allowing the plant to focus its energy entirely on the grapes and the fruit. Only 3,800 numbered bottles are produced from 0.7 hectares of vineyard.

A super-intense, spicy white wine with assertive aromas of lime zest, yellow grapefruit and minerals. Silky on the palate with crisp acidity, medium body and a precise, refined finish full of smoky notes. SUPERIORE.DE
