The Gallina single vineyard in Neive has been synonymous with powerful, broodingBarbaresco for decades. The vines grow on limestone-rich marl soils facing south – a terroir that imbues the Nebbiolo with lush fruit, subtle spice and a distinctive structure. Following a careful hand-harvest, traditional maceration takes place, after which the wine matures for over 20 months in new barriques before being bottled unfiltered.

In the glass, a deep ruby colour with garnet-red glints. The bouquet unfolds opulently with dark cherries, ripe blackberries and plums, underpinned by rose petals, liquorice, balsamic herbs and a hint of cedarwood. Impressive depth on the palate: juicy, full-bodied fruit, finely-textured tannins and lively acidity form a structural backbone that promises long ageing potential.
