The Asili vineyard in Barbaresco is considered the epitome of delicate elegance. On gentle hills with calcareous marl soils that store sun and moisture in perfect measure, Nebbiolo produces wines here that combine finesse and depth in equal measure. The 2017 vintage was characterised by a warm, dry summer, during which cooler nights ensured aromatic precision and fresh acidity – ideal conditions for a wine with a strong character and a long life.

A transparent garnet red colour with a delicate orange rim shimmers in the glass. The bouquet opens with ripe cherry, raspberry and delicate hints of rose and violet, followed by subtle nuances of rosehip, liquorice and sweet spices. On the palate, Asili 2017 presents itself with silky, ripe tannins, a clear structure and a harmonious combination of fruit, spice and mineral length. The fine acidity gives it additional vigour, while the long final lingers with floral elegance and subtle salinity.
