Production at the Pertimali estate was down 20% due to the spring frost, and the decision was made to pour all the juice normally destined for the Riserva into the pure Brunello, resulting in one of the top wines of the vintage.

Earthy notes on the nose, only gradually revealing ripe strawberries, spicy herbs, leather and a little coffee. Spiced orange peel, sour cherry and mint, followed by salty minerals. The lively acidity ensures that the wine remains fresh and supple despite its compact structure. The initially firm tannins gracefully envelop the pretty fruit centre with further aeration, and in the long final we discover sweet spices and traces of white pepper. SUPERIORE.DE
