    "Made primarily from estate vineyards in Radda with a small portion coming from Gaiole, Istine's annata is discreet but tempting. Aromas suggest sweet spices such as mace and clove with almond, red berries and a hint of tomato leaf. The palate is trim and snappy. Sour cherry and sumac berries sport peppery accents. Tart acidity takes charge, becoming increasingly bracing, and the tannins are lean and decidedly crisp. A stony finish leaves a burst of redcurrant in its wake." Decanter
