The cooperative's latest achievement: Stieler Pinot Grigio comes from hand-picked hillside vineyards on the Ritten between 500 and 600 metres, where vines over 25 years old put all their experience into the grapes. When developing the Cuvée TAL, cellar master Filippi recognised the extraordinary potential of these Ritten vineyards and created a unique single-vineyard wine from them. Gentle whole-cluster pressing and six months of ageing on the fine lees in large oak barrels give this Pinot Gris its characteristic complexity.

Intense straw yellow with golden reflections indicates concentration, while the bouquet begins with pears and apples and develops into exotic pineapple notes and elegant vanilla tones. On the palate, the Stieler is structured and full-bodied, with the harmonious minerality that characterises the unique terroir of Bolzano's high altitudes. "Light lemon yellow in the glass. Subtle aromas on the nose, becoming more present with air. Hints of salt lemons, but also almond blossom, then yellow peach and some spice. Filling on the palate, with a powerful, sturdy body and rich fruit. Very delicate and fresh. Embedded, supporting acidity, which gives it a good tension into the long final." Vinum
