Profound yet accessible: Cygnus presents itself as an artfully crafted fusion of Sicilian passion and international elegance. The cuvée – comprising around 60% Nero d'Avola, complemented by approximately 40% Cabernet Sauvignon – tells the story of two distinct characters: the spirited indigenous grape variety and the structurally defined, international grape. The name refers to a charming family anecdote: in 1881, whilst staying in the gardens of Villa Tasca in Palermo, Richard Wagner devoted himself to swan motifs as he completed the third act of his opera *Parsifal* – a historical event to which *Cygnus* pays fitting tribute.

In the glass, a deep ruby red; on the nose, a fragrant blend of black fruits, ripe cherry and subtle spicy notes, with vanilla, a hint of tobacco and cedar wood weaving depth with gentle finesse. On the palate, it is a velvety experience: supple, yet with precise structure and polished tannins. The harmony between freshness and varietal character lends it a balance and depth that make it irresistible. SUPERIORE.DE

"Deep, complex and ambitious wine full of balsamic notes, cassis, marzipan, thyme with tobacco whiffs. Full-bodied, dense and velvety with ripe tannins, smoothness, crisp acidity and a smoky finish. Drink or hold." James Suckling
