Barolo Dagromis bears its name in memory of the family that once owned and cultivated these vineyards in the 19th century – a symbol of the combination of history and modern vision that is at home at Gaja. Today, this wine is a stylistic bridge: Nebbiolo grapes from the legendary La Morra and Serralunga vineyards are vinified separately, matured first for a year in barriques and then for a further year in large oak barrels – a deliberate blend of finesse and substance.

In the glass, Dagromis 2019 is a dense garnet red with a violet lustre – a promise of depth and elegance. The bouquet is delicate and intense at the same time: violet flowers, sour cherry, plum, complemented by nuances of liquorice, ginger, violets and marzipan. These flavours are not a loud statement, but a fine, complex network with balsamic depth and floral transparency. On the palate, bright freshness is combined with noble fruit. The tannins are present but polished, giving the wine structure and vigour. A subtle salty minerality ensures a lasting presence on the long, clearly contoured finish.
