A wine with history, personality and depth of character: Centovie is the centrepiece of a long-term project at the organically farmed Tenuta Centovie near Roseto degli Abruzzi. The 35 hectares of vineyards on the southern slope near Montipagano, with a view of the Gran Sasso, produce elegant Montepulciano, among other things – equipped with traditional training systems (pergola in long tendone and short cordon training) and an optimal microclimate.

Intense ruby colour with violet reflections in the glass. The nose is rich and fine: black cherry, noble spice, liquorice, a mineral underlay. On the palate, the wine impresses with its balance between concentrated fruit, freshness and silky tannins. Complexity and tensile strength harmonise: Depth, elegance and structured length are rounded off by a carefully dosed wood note (large and small barrel), including 6 to 8 months of bottle ageing.

The Centovie winery project is more than just a regional speciality – it interprets Montepulciano in its most sophisticated form, reflecting the soil and climate between the Apennines and the sea and sending a message of style and quality with a modern approach. A red wine that rewards patience, shows profile and also pays tribute to the inhabitants of Montipagano.
