Belvento – the favourable wind. That is the name of Petra's maritime wine project, born of that narrow stretch of landscape where the metal-coloured hills of the Val di Cornia meet the Tyrrhenian Sea. The Velarosa is its rosé, and the name itself evokes both an image and a promise: a pink sail catching the wind. 100% Grenache, hand-harvested in early September, briefly macerated, and fermented at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. 

In the glass, it glows a delicate salmon pink. The nose opens with wisteria and white peach, followed by raspberry, pomegranate and a hint of blood orange. On the palate, it is fresh and lively, with delicate fruit and balsamic herbal notes – and a finish that tastes of salt and sea breeze. It's as if the flamingo on the label has just flown away.
