Even today, this delicately fruity and characteristically elegant red wine, named after the growing region around the wine-growing village of St. Magdalena, has many admirers and is currently being rediscovered by many a connoisseur."     A deep ruby red; on the nose, it offers clear, prominent fruit notes of black elderberries and cherries, rounded off by an aroma of bitter almonds and hints of violets.
