    The 2021 "L'Arcione" vintage is currently somewhat younger, but already has a promising structure. The cuvée of Merlot and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso comes from selected vineyards in the Colli Orientali, characterised by mineral marl rock and careful hand-picking. The wine is matured separately in barriques as usual, followed by ageing in large wooden barrels. In 2021, a balanced climate with cool nights and a warm ripening phase ensured precision and freshness.

    On the nose, the wine has aromas of wild berries, plums, red pepper, some tobacco and dried herbs. On the palate, it is more delicate than its predecessor: lively acidity, pithy fruit and a structured, fine-meshed tannin create tension. Still restrained in expression, but with plenty of potential for development. A vintage with a little more freshness and contoured structure - a "L'Arcione" for connoisseurs that rewards patience and attention. SUPERIORE.DE
