    This rare Langhe Riesling comes from carefully tended plots in Monforte d'Alba, around 530 metres above sea level. The limestone and mineral-rich soils and the cool altitude guarantee an animating freshness and elegance that is unique for this variety in Piedmont. Pale straw yellow in the glass with lively clarity. The nose unfolds with a fascinating combination of citrus freshness – lime and green apple – and yellow peach blossom, underpinned by herbal notes such as sage and a light petrol-like touch that heralds mineral tension. On the palate, the Riesling is lively and precise, with a fine salinity and striking acidity structure that lends the wine a vertical elegance.
