“Sirmian 50 anni” Pinot Bianco Alto Adige DOC 2021
Anniversary edition: Top-class Pinot Bianco from the South Tyrolean Wine Route, more precisely from the exposed Sirmian vineyard, where the Pinot Bianco finds its ideal location and an optimal microclimate. Every year it is of remarkable quality. Clear and sparkling straw yellow in the glass, with an intense bouquet of light flowers, green apple, redcurrants and a hint of sage and nutmeg. Harmonious, powerful and persistent on the palate, with a full flavour typical of the grape variety and a beautiful melting, mineral finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"The Pinot Bianco Sirmian 2021 has a bouquet of sweet floral scents, freshly cut green apples and ginger. On the palate, it is round and soothing, with a lively acidity and lime nuances that enliven the ripe fruit of the orchard. The 2021 is wonderfully fresh and balanced, finishing with commendable length and subtle spice." Vinous
"A fresh, mineral-driven white, with a pleasing tension and fine knit to the flavors of patisserie apple, pear and blanched almond. Offers accents of honeycomb, chamomile, lemon peel and ground ginger on the long and creamy finish." Wine Spectator
"Bright, intense straw yellow colour. Opens on the nose with ripe apple and melon, underpinned by spicy notes of meadow herbs and hay. Filling in the mouth, with beautiful pressure on the palate, rich fruit through to the long finish." Falstaff
"It's chewy with dried apple and mango and some lemon zest. Also dried peaches. Full-bodied with multi-layered fruit and fresh acidity. Also some yoghurt character." James Suckling
"This bottle bears a special 50th anniversary label, making it one of the oldest representatives of this grape variety in the region. The Nals Margreid 2021 Alto Adige Pinot Bianco Sirmian draws its fruit from over 15 hectares of high-altitude vineyards, where this grape variety shows its best results. A beautiful expression with a mouthful that is so precise and sharp that the wine tastes almost spicy. Grapefruit, Granny Smith apple and crisp pear are offset by a light spiciness and saffron. There's also a hint of white peppercorn." Wine Advocate
"Creamy and smooth with plenty of lemon zest, nutty baked apple, ripe apricot and saffron, emphasised by the emerging strong minerality and focused saline finish." Decanter
"One of the clearest Pinot Blancs in Alto Adige, flavoured with the crisp craftsmanship that is at home in Nalles. Vineyards at the foot of the winery, 7 months in barrels and steel tanks, cedar peel and hawthorn on the nose. Very taut, lively, spicy and with an excellent finish on the palate." Luca Gardini

This is seamlessly silky and serene on the palate, nearly oily in feel, with brisk acidity to balance and depths of ripe orchard fruits and mineral tones that saturate. The balance is perfect, lightly tannic and full of tension with a lemony concentration that puckers the cheeks as minty herbal tones fade. Green apple notes add a crunchy sensation toward the close. “Phileo” Vinschgauer Weißburgunder Alto Adige DOC 2017
The name "phileo" is based on the first name Filomena of the mother of the current owner Franz Pratzner. She played a major role in shaping Weinhof Falkenstein, which is why a selection from the best Pinot Blanc vineyards was created for the first time in 2016 and will henceforth bear her name.
This spontaneously fermented Pinot Bianco sets standards - in its creaminess, its present acidity and minerality and with its great ageing potential. With its delicate apple aromas and subtle vanilla and citrus notes, it is a benchmark for what is probably the most famous white grape variety in the region! SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright, elegant light gold. In the nose with a fine fragrance of light honey, orange peel and ripe pear, discreetly of cream, in the aftertaste of candied lemon zest, light herbal spice. On the palate full, warm-hearted and with a lot of melting, spreads great over the tongue, with well-integrated acidity, taut and yet elegant, remains present for a long time in the finish." Falstaff
"Burgundian-style winemaking often doesn't work well for dry pinot blanc, but this has stunning integration of fruit and fine oak with touches of coconut and candied orange peel. Really concentrated and long, but also so clean and precise." James Suckling

Terlaner Weißburgunder Alto Adige DOC 2010 Rarità
The choice of grape variety and vintage for the Cantina Terlan inery's rarity wine are secrets that are closely guarded for a long time - until just a few weeks before the official presentation. In spring 2023, Cantina Terlan Winery traditionally presented its new strictly limited rarity wine. The winery management decided on the Pinot Bianco 2010. The Pinot Blanc 2010 is the eleventh rare wine to be stored under the expert direction of Kofler.
Light, bright straw yellow with delicate greenish reflections. Impressively fresh on the nose - herbal notes of camomile, lemon balm and lovage as well as a hint of dried persimmon and apricot. At the same time, the multi-faceted bouquet also has a scent of bread crust and yeast plait paired with a subtle flint aroma. Smooth and powerful on the palate with a crisp, fresh acidity that nevertheless leaves a delicate impression and ideally complements the mineral tension. The finish is silky and elegant but at the same time enormously powerful and deep. SUPERIORE.DE
The rarity wine symbolises Terlan's longevity: "A speciality of the Cantina Terlan are the rarities, special bottlings of mature white wines that have been stored for at least ten years on the fine lees in steel pressure tanks. The youthful freshness that characterises this Pinot Blanc despite its mature age is particularly impressive, making it perfect for longer ageing in the bottle. Terlan has the terroir to produce great white wines and skilfully demonstrates this with these rarities." Rudi Kofler, Kellermeister
"Bright straw yellow with clear green nuances. Rich nose with beguiling notes of beeswax, mango, some baby pineapple and flint. Creamy and balanced on the palate, opens with fine ripe fruit notes, good tension, salty, delicate brioche notes on the final." Falstaff
"The Pinot Bianco Rarity 2010 is a prime example of purity. Its bouquet impresses with a brilliant blend of white peach and tropical citrus fruit, perfectly balanced by an enriching note of almond paste and sweet butter. The palate is supple and round, but with an incredible energy that combines ripe fruit trees with a zesty citrus note. The 2010 finishes with impressive length, leaving a hint of minerality under a hint of flowers. What a beauty that still has many years of development ahead for patient collectors." Vinous
"Rich and complex Pinot Bianco with notes of sliced mango, glazed peaches, honeysuckle, pastry crust and beeswax. Full-bodied, dense and concentrated with rich candied fruit, refreshed with bright acidity. It is complex and structured with a certain tension. Long finish. A unique white wine." James Suckling
"Stylish and restrained lychee, apricot kernel, vibrant citrus and rosebud are accompanied by a lifted, sparkling structure; lively, polished and savoury. It is not easy to describe the filigree and sober elegance of wines like this, but it should be considered one of the best Italian white wines. 2010 is the new edition of the 100% Pinot Bianco, Rarity. It undergoes slow fermentation in stainless steel tanks and then matures on the lees in large wooden barrels for 12 months, followed by further maturation on the lees in steel tanks without filtering or fining for 11 years (the so-called 'Stocker method')." Decanter
"This is a careful expression of Pinot Bianco from steep vineyards at 550 to 600 meters in elevation, with 30% to 50% inclines. The 2010 Alto Adige Terlano Pinot Bianco Rarity is a gorgeous wine that, despite its many years of age, tastes remarkably fresh and primary. The aromas are on the reduced side, and this bodes well for future evolution. The complexity of the bouquet is underlined by candied apricot, star fruit, sour cream and green curry. To those aromas, I would add topical accents of guava or green papaya that play into the natural freshness of this generous, mid-weight white. This is a stellar wine (with only 3,500 bottles made)." "An elegant, fine white wine with dense flavours of yellow plum, melon rind, chamomile and lemon wax. With a slightly chalky texture and mouth-watering acidity, it is long and supple, with grapefruit peel, ground pink pepper and mineral notes on the finish." Wine Spectator
"The 2021 Pinot Bianco Riserva Vorberg is youthfully coiled, as an airy blend of wild herbs and dried flowers gives way to young peach and apricot. This fantastic rendition of Vorberg will thrive in a cold cellar." Vinous
"Vorberg is one of the world's great Pinot Blancs and opens with a fragrant aroma of ripe pear, green apple and a hint of almond. On the palate, it is lively with an interplay of citrus and stone fruit, carried by a refreshing acidity. The wine culminates in a structured finish that covers the whole range of cuisine." “Vigna San Michele” Barthenau Pinot Bianco Alto Adige DOC 2021 · 6 bottles in OWC
The "Vigna" classification guarantees and designates the origin of a single-vineyard wine in South Tyrol. The Pinot Bianco from the single vineyard San Michele from the Barthenau winery has a strong personality that fully unfolds after an additional year of ageing in the bottle. It has a rich bouquet of green apple and banana, a full-bodied flavour with plenty of fruit, a medium, finely balanced acidity and a long mineral finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Rich notes of apricot cake, lemon curd and toasted hazelnuts combine with aromatic accents of oyster shells and broom, finely interwoven with a bright, well-cut acidity. This smooth, harmonious white wine glides across the palate and unfolds on a long finish with mineral and warm spice flavours." Wine Spectator
"The 2021 Pinot Bianco Barthenau Vigna S. Michele opens with a rich blend of almond custard and sweet spice contrasting with fresh nectarines and Asian pear. Seductively round and supple, it flows across the palate with a silky, almost oily texture balanced by tantalising acidity. Salty minerals linger along with a balancing note of peach jam and tart citrus as the 2021 finishes long yet with a note of freshness." Vinous
