    Perched high above Lake Kaltern is the Vogelmaierhof, where cool downdrafts sweep through the side valley, lending the Goldmuskateller its characteristic freshness. This organically farmed plot, situated between 300 and 400 metres above sea level, is considered a hidden gem in the Lageder range. The dry vinification brings out the full character of this aromatic grape variety: some of the grapes are fermented as whole bunches, whilst the rest mature for six months on the fine lees in stainless steel.

    The result is both exciting and full of contrast. A radiant pale yellow with greenish highlights, it offers aromas of acacia blossom, elderflower and passion fruit. On the palate, it is crisp and mineral, with a beguiling liveliness and a juicy finish.
