ALVA is the AI-powered wine advisor from SUPERIORE.DE – Europe's leading specialist in premium Italian wines. Unlike generic chatbots, ALVA responds solely on the basis of 24 years of curated wine knowledge: winemaker profiles, grape varieties, regions and over 3,500 wines with real-time prices.

ALVA knows every wine in the range – style, analytical data, sensory profile, terroir. It does not invent prices, does not recommend anything outside the range, and is never guided by commercial interests when making recommendations. For service enquiries, it refers users directly to the team.

Anyone visiting SUPERIORE.DE will find over 3,500 wines from more than 350 Italian winemakers. From the Montalcino appellation alone, we have 47 producers in our range. We know of no other European wine retailer that can offer this.
Who can keep track of it all? A standard shop search finds what you're looking for, but it doesn't explain. Neither does a one-dimensional chatbot designed purely for sales.
ALVA – "La Luce nel Vino" – explains. She knows the terroir, the winemakers, the styles and your occasion – and links all this to our range in real time. One input field. Always the right response format.
The name is no coincidence. It has its roots in Latin: alba – white, bright, luminous. We're happy to take the fact that ALVA also means "the elf/fairy" as a Scandinavian first name as a charming footnote – but the real story is set in Italy. And it goes: "La luce nel vino."

ALVA knows for certain what's in this knowledge database. She doesn't make up what isn't in it – no made-up prices, no invented terroirs, no vague service information. Our team is here to handle delivery, complaints and orders – more on that in a moment.
Bottom line: ALVA knows an awful lot about our winemakers, regions and their wines. And what it doesn't know, it admits honestly.

Every conversation with ALVA is stored on the server – your questions, ALVA's answers, timestamps and a technical session ID that keeps your chat together. As with any website visit, your IP address is also recorded.
If you're not logged in, you remain anonymous – your session isn't linked to your customer account.
Your data is used exclusively by SUPERIORE.DE – for the operation and continuous improvement of ALVA. It's only stored for as long as required by law. All the details are set out in our privacy policy – there you'll also find your rights to access and erasure.
24/7 – ALVA is always there. But we do need to get some sleep sometimes.
