Delicately shining ruby red colour that immediately arouses curiosity. Ripe sour cherry, plum and subtle spicy notes unfold on the nose – fresh, spicy and intense without dominance. On the palate, Montebruna is powerful and juicy at the same time. The beautiful fruit is supported by fine acidity, which gives the wine poise and freshness. Supple tannins lend structure, while the finish surprises with warm spice and an elegant, mineral note. Montebruna matures for twelve months in large oak barrels, which gives it depth and harmony – without sacrificing freshness.

The grapes come from the small but historic Montebruna vineyard near Rocchetta Tanaro. The Barbera grape variety reveals its full class here: full-bodied, yet without heaviness – an authentic Langhe classic that impressively combines origin, modernity and drinking pleasure. SUPERIORE.DE
