Mirum (the miracle) is a statement of limestone, altitude and time. It is no ordinary Verdicchio, but one of the most charismatic Riserva bottlings in central Italy. Vinified since 1990, it comes from a particularly barren, limestone-rich south-western slope above Matelica, where the vines grow at over 400 metres. The wine is matured exclusively in stainless steel, but with long lees ageing – a decision that combines clarity, texture and ageing potential.

Rich straw yellow with golden reflections. The bouquet is complex and deep: white flowers, dried herbs, peach, ripe yellow fruit, fennel and a fine smoky-mineral note. Powerful, tightly woven and structured on the palate, supported by a lively, precisely integrated acidity. Multi-faceted and savoury on the palate, with a lingering, slightly nutty final. A wine with inner tension that matures over the years and only deepens its character in the process. Mirum Riserva exemplifies the independent profile of the Verdicchio di Matelica appellation: more alpine in character, more mineral and longer-lived than the better-known Verdicchio from Jesi.
