Youthful

"Youthful" describes a wine in which the primary aromas of the grape dominate: fresh fruit, a clear colour with a violet rim in red wines, often still quite sharp tannins and noticeable acidity.

The term refers to the state of the wine, not its age – a tannin-rich red wine can still seem youthful even after ten years, whilst a light white wine moves beyond this phase within a few months. – SUPERIORE.DE
