The C in the name of the Boggina stands for the "Classico", aged for about 18 months in large wood and tonneau: In the bouquet the whole fullness of Sangiovese - sour cherry, plum, various floral notes and spices. The filigree tannins give elegance on the palate, yet it is the archetype of a taut and wonderfully precise Sangiovese with impressive depth. SUPERIORE.DE

"The 2016 Val d'Arno di Sopra Bòggina C is a pure expression of Sangiovese from vines planted in 1952. Give the wine a little time to open in the glass; once it does, it offers a beautiful display of forest fruit, spice, leather and earthy tones.
