Now a modern classic among the white Langhe wines, which carries history and at the same time whets the appetite for the future: Rossj-Bass was created in 1988, named after Rossana (Rossj), Angelo Gaja's youngest daughter, and also refers to one of the two original parcels of land – bass, in Piedmontese for the lower vineyard. Over the years, the socialisation of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc in historically important cru sites in Barbaresco, Treiso and Serralunga created a stylistic signature with a clear identity.

The colour in the glass is a brilliant gold with greenish reflections. The bouquet is a composition of floral depth and the finest fruit: Lemon blossom, acacia blossom, lemon balm and wisteria interweave with nuances of yellow fruit, papaya and a hint of salt, hinting at mineral tension in the background. Full, elegantly structured and remarkably clear on the palate – the tropical fruit flavours merge with a lively acidity that balances the wine and subtly carries it through the barrique components. The long, dynamic final is characterised by minty-fresh minerality and elegant floral notes – a white wine full of depth, freshness and stylistic balance.
