Fabio Motta began his winemaking career in Michele Satta's wine cellar in Castagneto Carducci. Surrounded by the Tuscan maquis, olive groves and vineyards, the Lombard from Brianza spent five years working alongside the renowned Oenologistoenologist, who is now not only his friend and mentor, but also his father-in-law.
With the purchase of four hectares of vineyards in 2009, Fabio and Michele's daughter Benedetta realised their dream of producing their own wine in the DOC Bolgheri. His first vineyard, Le Pievi, is located not far from the coast at the foot of the Castagneto Carducci hill and is planted with twenty-year-old Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot vines. (...)
