Avignonesi - the traditional winery in the Montepulciano area was once named after the founding family. Avignonesi was acquired by Virginie Saverys in 2009. It uses ecological cultivation techniques to produce artisanal wines with a strong character.
The Avignonesi estate covers 225 hectares, 109 of which are vineyards. The vineyards are spread over four areas: Le Capezzine, Il Poggetto, La Selva and La Lombarda. Fattoria Le Capezzine, just a few kilometres from Montepulciano, is the heart of the company. Perfectly renovated, it contains the spacious cellar for winemaking, storage and ageing of the wines as well as the management of the company. SUPERIORE.DE
