Around 1,000 wines from the new vintages were tasted this year, an impressive picture of the variety of styles and the high standard that characterises winegrowers from Chianti Classico to Bolgheri. Eder recalls the words of a sadly deceased winemaker who once said: "You have to roll up your sleeves and work and bring the wine to the people". An attitude that captures the character of this region in just a few words.
