The vineyards are spread over two outstanding cru sites, which are characterised by different soils. Cru Canalicchio consists of six individual vineyards that thrive on clayey and calcareous soils with a high proportion of calcium carbonate. These soil conditions give the wines fullness and wonderfully silky tannins. The Montosoli cru site, on the other hand, comprises four vineyards with characteristic marl soil. This is rich in minerals and gives the wines distinctive flavour and minerality. (...)
