Silvio Jermann was one of the first in Friuli to combine international grape varieties with local ones and to vinify them with Burgundian precision. This blend of Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia Istriana and Picolit comes from top-class vineyards near Farra d'Isonzo and Dolegna del Collio, on marl and sandstone soils with a perfect microclimate. 

In the glass, it is a bright straw yellow with golden highlights. On the nose, it is complex and deep: ripe yellow fruit, dried pineapple, candied citrus notes, camomile, honey, a hint of vanilla, wet stone and white pepper. On the palate, the wine is structured, full-bodied and, at the same time, astonishingly refined – underpinned by a salty minerality, fresh acidity and a harmonious interplay of the grape varieties. Partial ageing in wood (approx. 11 months) lends the wine texture and depth without weighing it down. The finish leaves a lingering hint of tropical fruit, delicate herbal spice and ripe yellow fruit. Vintage Tunina is not a loud soloist, but an orchestral masterpiece with elegance, tension and enormous ageing potential. "The Jermann 2023 Vintage Tunina is a blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Ribolla Gialla and Malvasia that shows a lively, energetic freshness carried through both the bouquet and a lean mouthfeel. The nose reveals layered complexity, opening with minty apple and white peach before moving toward salty mineral notes and subtle savory hints of dried sage and light cinnamon, while the palate remains dry with firm mineral sensations that shape an edgy, focused finish. Fermented initially in stainless steel on the fine lees until about 6% alcohol, with a portion of the must transferred to large Slavonian oak botti to complete fermentation, the wine is sourced from 16 hectares of 31-year-old vines on marl and sandstone soils. The final blend is assembled after maturation across both vessels, with 75% in stainless steel and 25% in botte." Wine Advocate
