The cuvée of Montepulciano, Sangiovese and a discreet proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon develops a remarkable complexity after 14–18 months in small oak barrels, it develops a remarkable complexity. Rich, deep dark ruby colour in the glass with a fine lightening at the rim. Powerful and multi-faceted on the nose: blackcurrant, plum and fine spices meet a hint of tobacco and floral nuances. On the palate, the wine pushes forward with considerable fullness, yet remains lively. The tannin structure is firm yet supple, the fruit precisely contoured.
