Jermann's Sauvignon Bianco is a precisely vinified white wine from the cooler vineyards of the Veneto-Friuli border region. The grapes come from vineyards with calcareous flysch soil, which promotes an elegant, taut style. The 2024 vintage was characterised by slow ripening under stable conditions – the result is a Sauvignon with a fine balance and clear flavour. The wine is matured exclusively in stainless steel tanks to preserve its freshness and varietal character.

Lisini's Rosso di Montalcino smells of violets, lavender and cinnamon-dusted cherries. This flows effortlessly across the palate with polished ripe red fruits and sweet inner spices. There is nothing out of place in this silky beauty. The lightly textured and characterful final is balanced by zesty acidity and shows nuances of red candy mixed with worn leather and a pleasant inner sweetness that lingers. A finely integrated expression of the autochthonous grape variety, cultivated by the innovative Pietracupa winery and one of the best interpretations of the Greco grape every year. The Turmhof Castle Winery in Entiklar near Kurtatsch is one of the most traditional family businesses in South Tyrol. Christof and Sabine Tiefenbrunner are the fifth generation of the family to run the winery – with vineyards that range from 220 to over 1,000 metres above sea level and offer the ideal location for every variety. This Gewürztraminer combines grapes from two characterful sites between 220 and 350 metres: Entiklar/Margreider Leiten with limestone gravel soils from moraine deposits facing south to south-east and Brenntal/Frauenriegel, where red, sandy loam soil faces east. This combination gives the wine both aromatic depth and mineral freshness.

Prosecco del Fondatore Graziano Merotto is the winery's flagship wine – certainly one of the best of its denomination – and a very dry and complex brut from the special slopes of the Rive di Col San Martino. Bright silver-grey with a persistent perlage. Light fruit and flowers on the nose, a fine citrus note on the palate introduces the finesse-rich, exciting mineral flavour with an impressive finish. The rare Titolo Rosato is not only a feast for the eyes, but also makes a first-class impression with its fresh and spicy bouquet of mandarins, cherries, sage and sweet smoke. On the palate, this freshness is again combined with a taut yet silky texture, followed by tart, lemony notes and a lovely saltiness that provide plenty of excitement and drinking flow. A Chardonnay with an origin profile and signature – typical of Jermann. The grapes come from the hilly areas of Friuli, where cool downslope winds and limestone-rich soils ensure freshness, structure and aromatic clarity. The 2024 vintage was characterised by a cool spring and a long, dry ripening phase in summer, which gives the wine expression and balance. Maturation in stainless steel tanks preserves precision and varietal typicity.

The grapes come from organically cultivated vineyards with calcareous marl soils around Alba, whose terroir gives the wine freshness and structure. Deep ruby red in colour with violet hues. On the nose, a pure, inviting aroma of ripe cherry, blackberry, plum and a hint of violet, with subtle hints of spice. On the palate, Piana presents itself in typical Barbera style: juicy, dense fruit, present, well-integrated acidity and a supple texture that ensures drinking flow. For decades, the Porer vineyard on the Margreider Schuttkegel has been the source of Lageder's most refined interpretation of Pinot Grigio. Grapes of exceptional complexity ripen between 230 and 240 metres, where stony, sandy and highly calcareous soil with dramatic day-night temperature fluctuations creates a unique microclimate. The organic cultivation of this single vineyard follows strict principles of sustainability. The secret of Porer lies in its three-part vinification: one third is pressed immediately, another part remains on the skins for 15 hours, while the last component macerates with stems and skins for up to eight months. This orchestrated composition of different textures gives the wine its characteristic tension. Six months of ageing on the fine lees in stainless steel round off the complex flavour profile.

"Burdigai" is Ligurian dialect and means shrubs of the Mediterranean maquis. From a small and isolated terrace facing west, surrounded by Mediterranean shrubs, comes this truly original Rosato, which should not actually exist. Because the grape variety is unknown, it is alternatively called "Franseise" because it apparently comes from the south of France and not even the owners know the exact origin and age, nor do they know who planted the vines there in the first place. Nevertheless, the vines have been cultivated and cared for over decades and at some point the family council decided to press an independent rosé from them.

On the sand – the name already reveals the secret of this extraordinary interpretation of Gewürztraminer. A work of art of aromatic perfection springs from the sandy, calcareous soils of various locations in the lowlands between 240 and 370 metres. From Tramin to the Margreider Schuttkegel to Lake Kaltern and the Eisack Valley, Lageder combines the many facets of this traditional grape variety into a harmonious composition. The biodynamic Demeter cultivation of these selected plots follows the natural rhythms of the landscape. The secret lies in the staggered harvest: As the southern sites are all very hot, Lageder deliberately sets early accents and harvests the grapes at different stages of ripeness – sometimes even with noble rot. One part is vinified spontaneously with whole grapes, the rest matures for nine months partly in stainless steel and partly in large wooden barrels on the fine lees.

Dry and elegantly structured on the palate, with taut acidity, fine mousse and astonishing finesse. Thanks to 24 months of ageing on the lees, the texture is creamy, the finish long, mineral and characterised by subtle almond notes – a Lugana in sparkling guise that impressively emphasises the potential of the indigenous Turbiana as a sparkling wine.
