From Brancaia's marc of the best Merlot, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes of a vintage, the famous Distillerie Berta produces this fine grappa, aged for 12 months in barriques. The Bolognas - Barbera pioneers from Piedmont - have their Grappa Invecchiata di Bricco dell'Uccellone produced every year by the famous Distelleria Berta. Obtained from the marc of the Bricco dell'Uccellone, distilled according to the classic, discontinuous method by the Berta grappa dynasty in Mombaruzzo, Piedmont, matured in those wooden barrels in which the coveted and avant-garde Barbera wine was previously aged. Only about 4,000 bottles of this noble distillate are produced.

Antica Cuvée - here in the high alcoholic dosage form "Cask Strength" - is a fine, very aromatic Riserva. Nonino uses the traditional still for distillation. The inviting clear amber colour is the result of storage in small barrels. A very special note is given to the cuvée by the small but essential addition of young grappa, which has matured for a year in Limousin barriques. Fruity, warm, velvety and long-lasting. The famous distillery of Romano Levi was bought after his death (01.05.2010) by an old friend of Levi and an investor of the city of Neive. Their goal is to maintain the tradition, art and spirit of Romano Levi in Neive. Today, the old distillery has been completely renovated and turned into a museum. The new owners continue to use Levi's old still. The technology and the barrels, however, are new to produce a higher quality, more sophisticated grappa.

We were now allowed to select some of the most graphically interesting labels from Romano Levi's huge estate of hand-painted labels, which - reproduced to a high standard - are available exclusively from us.

From now on, we will bring a new Levi label to life every year in a very small edition of just 36 bottles per variety, which you will then only find in our shop as a "Selezione limitata".

The fresh marc, saturated with must, is compressed immediately after delivery in underground pits to naturally extract all the aromas and flavours of the grape. Distillation takes place exclusively in the months of March and April using the discontinuous method on direct fire and the very special characteristics perfected by Levi. The brilliantly clear Grappa Cru Monovitigno Pignolo was produced in very limited quantities and bottled in 150 numbered decanters with a vintage label, exclusively available only at SUPERIORE.DE It is a single-varietal grappa made from marc of the rare Pignolo grape from the Nonino vineyard in Buttrio in Friuli. It is rich, elegant and velvety smooth with a pronounced wild berry flavour.

With "Cru Monovitigno Pignolo", the Noninos are taking part in the "Omaggio a Venezia" project, an initiative involving prestigious Italian brand producers such as Alessi, Loro Piana, Missoni, Tod's, Trussardi and others. "Omaggio a Venezia" aims to help the city fathers of Venice to preserve the artistic and architectural heritage, this unique and unmistakable style of Venice.

Part of the proceeds from the sale will be given to the city of Venice for the restoration of the 17th century "Camerino degli Stucchi" in the Ca'Rezzonico Museum. SUPERIORE.DE

Aristocratic! The whole world considers Picolit to be "la Regina delle Grappe" because of its character, harmony and the emotions it evokes with every sip. Pure and crystalline, on the nose it evokes full honeycombs, acacia flowers, ripe quince, fresh Moscato and freshly picked figs. The Nonino family presented the bonded Grappa Nonino Riserva Aged 20 Years in 2021. There are 664 numbered bottles.

A rare and precious grappa made from selected marcs of white and red grape varieties of Friuli with a natural smoky note, which Benito distilled in the discontinuous copper steam still at the Nonino distilleries in Ronchi di Percoto. Afterwards, this grappa matured for 20 years in a small, former sherry cask no. 166, sealed and constantly monitored by customs and the monopoly agency, in the company's own maturation cellar since 2001.

Gold-orange in the glass. Full and intense on the nose with notes of cream, honey, fruit, hints of orange, chocolate and a fine, natural smoky note. Full-bodied and persistent on the palate with a composition of apricot, cream, dried fruits, spices and pepper as well as a fine, natural smoky note and hints of sherry.

Despite the turmoil of the Second World War, the Berta family had managed to enable the last-born to study. When Paolo left university in 1947 with a diploma in viticultural engineering, he transferred his parents' business in Nizza Monferrato to the "Distilleria Berta di Berta Paolo".

Today, 75 years later, the Berta family is celebrating this anniversary with a terrific Riserva bottled exclusively in magnums in an edition of just 2,800 bottles. Nonino's great Grappa Picolit Gran Riserva matures sealed and supervised by the Italian customs and monopoly authority for 10 years in former Sauternes barriques in the distillery's maturation cellars.

Rare, elegant and precious. The wood of the barrels preloaded with Sauternes forms a harmonious whole with the notes of the Picolit grape, which smell of honey, spices, chocolate and candied fruits and convey a feeling of purity. Seductive, flavourful notes on the final.
