Silky elegance on the palate, juicy, dark berries, paired with an animating interplay of fruit and acidity that really lets the wine dance across the tongue. The 2021 Percarlo is a pure Sangiovese and represents a superb piece of work from the detail-orientated winemaker Luca Martini di Cigala. It shows wonderful intensity and richness, supported by edgy fruit and flavours of blackcurrant, spice, tar, earth and violets. The wine has power, but it is also delicate.
