Push the boundaries! "Comets light up, move around and burn up. Some last for years, others only a few moments. They leave an impression and can point out a certain direction that guides us in our everyday work. The joy of experimenting, innovation and the play with components are in the foreground with comets. Each of our comets is unique, like a fingerprint. The labels on each bottle are individually designed: A comet's tail, painted on with your finger." Clemens Lageder

BLA BLA BLA is a so-called comet wine made from 100% leaf alder, an almost completely forgotten autochthonous grape variety of South Tyrol. The grapes come from Bolzano vineyards at about 280 m above sea level. The whole fruit of this experimental white wine, vinified in small editions of 980 bottles, is completely macerated for 3 weeks, thus extracting important berry contents from the skins. The wine is aged on the full yeast for up to 18 months in wooden barrels, tonneau and used barriques. With the current edition the grapes of three vintages were blended together.

This uniquely exciting whiteness is strongly reductive, but despite all its purism, it is still recognizably Burgundy with a dominant salty note. For us it is a wine for meditation, which needs a lot of air as well as leisure and tranquillity - only then the wine connoisseur can enjoy an experience that is second to none. Unfiltered and without final sulphur addition. SUPERIORE.DE

Tannat thrives excellently under warm temperatures and retains a lively acidity. Already planted 30 years ago by Alois Lageder, it is still a mystery, experiment and challenge for the winery. In the 2018 vintage, the grapes were harvested extremely early, to emphasize the lightness and freshness of the grape variety. SUPERIORE.DE

Luciano has been holding back a small amount of his Nebbiolo Valmaggiore for several years now and has it matured further on the bottle in his cellar. The result is a result under the name "Sibi et Paucis", which impressively underpins the cult status of his "little Barolo". Ruby red and with a phenomenal fragrance - balsamic and earthy, but also fine-fruity. “Vecchie Viti del Salco” Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG 2016 (BIO) · 3 Flaschen in Gift Box

Just 3,500 bottles from the yield of the oldest vines of the Salco vineyard are sold with beautiful labels in a fancy 3-bottle box. In the glass, we are delighted by an extremely elegant Sangiovese with a very harmonious texture and very classic, earthy-spicy notes. SUPERIORE.DE

"Dark luminous, elegant and deep ruby red. Spicy-meaty nose at first, opens on classy rosemary notes, dried tomato, then lovely cherry. Punchy on the palate with tightly woven tannin, tense, salty mineral on the back end, great length." Falstaff

"From Salcheto's 2-hectare Salco vineyard, the Vecchie Viti is a selection of the oldest vines, which are upwards of 30 years old. After ageing in a combination of large cask and small tonneaux, this spends an additional 2 years in bottle before release. Yet it is still very nascent in expression. Smoke and mint emerge slowly weaving through wild berries. There is an irony undertow on the palate which is dense, ripe, concentrated and securely fastened by firm tannins. This is sinewy in its muscle and above all sophisticated." Decanter

"The Salcheto 2016 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Vecchie Viti del Salco (made from organic fruit) occupies that special place between primary and tertiary intensity. The bouquet reveals plum and dried cherry aromas, but it also shows oxidative aromas of tar, spice and a touch of dried fruit or apple skin. This open-knit wine is drinking nicely right now. Made from old vines, this is an accessible wine of personality." Robert Parker

"New leather, forest-berry and rose aromas shape the enticing nose on this radiant red along with a balsamic whiff of camphor. The firm, elegantly structured palate features ripe Marasca cherry, black raspberry, licorice and crushed mint framed in tightly wound, fine-grained tannins and bright acidity. It's linear and still youthfully austere, with great aging potential. Drink 2023–2036." Wine Enthusiast

    • "Carmenère di San Leonardo" Rosso Dolomiti IGT 2015
3 Bottles in OWC

“Carmenère di San Leonardo” Rosso Dolomiti IGT 2015 · 3 Bottles in OWC

The Carmenère grape, which is hardly represented in Italy and normally rather located in the Médoc, is reinterpreted in a masterly way at Tenuta San Leonardo. Deep, dark ruby red, in the bouquet broad-shouldered after dark fruit and with very harmonious spice. The barely perceptible acidity makes it round, silky smooth and extremely long and elegant on the palate. Also with this single-varietal red, the winery impressively shows its lonely class in the region. SUPERIORE.DE

"Carmenère in the north of Italy has a long history despite sometimes being confused with other grape varieties. Very few are producing it 100% as is this top selection of San Leonardo. Coming from the oldest vineyards of the estate, this wine is made with the same style of the blend: spontaneous 15/18 days of fermentation in small concrete vats with periodic pumpovers and délestage, than 24 months of maturation of partly new French oak. Full of spice aromas, such as black pepper, almost curry, clove and mostly coffee powder, it shows an amazing grace of silky tannins and delicate acidity." Decanter

"Savory, sweet, spicy and fresh, the 2015 Carmenère di San Leonardo is pulling me closer and closer to the glass with its seductive bouquet, mixing depths of cherry and young strawberry with cracked black pepper, rosemary and sage, as white smoke combines with the slightest hint of brown sugar to set off all of the pleasure sensors in the brain. This is elegant and refined, showing silky textures playing host to tart red and a hint of black fruit, with noble tannins, as inner florals and savory herbs resonate for up to a minute, leaving just a hint of blackberry in their wake. This is a selection from San Leonardo’s oldest vines of Carmenère, and it’s a stunner!" Vinous

“Vigna dell’Impero 1935” Rosso Val d’Arno di Sopra DOC 2015 · 3 Bottles in OWC

The Sangiovese grapes of this wine come from the vineyard of the Empire of His Royal Highness the Count of Turin, Vittorio Emanuele of Savoy, who planted it in 1935. The soil is a mixture of clay and gravel, rich in marl and rock, which gives the grapes a spectacular minerality. The variations in temperature during the day play a decisive role in developing the finest aromas, which are elegant and complex. The wine, bottled in numbered bottles, is not filtered in order to preserve all the typical varietal notes and characteristics of Sangiovese. SUPERIORE.DE

"Bright, intense garnet red. Very open and accessible nose, old-style in the best sense, of rhubarb, pomegranate, sour cherry and cherry stones. Relaxed and supple at the base, it opens with a grippy, fine-grained tannin, salty and very long, ripe fruit in the aftertaste". (Place 11 / 100 "Best 100 under 100€) Falstaff

"The 2015 Valdarno di Sopra Vigna dell'Impero offers aromas of candied cherry, blackberry, spice and leather. The finish is on the soft side, and I am assigning a slightly shorter drinking window for this warm vintage as a result. The fruit is concentrated and rich, thanks to the heat of the growing season." Robert Parker

"A tight and focused red with cherry, earth and orange peel. Roses, too. Full body yet very reserved with ultra-fine tannins and a fresh finish. Linear and beautiful. Old vine sangiovese. Shows outstanding potential. " James Suckling

    • "Campo di Magnacosta" Cabernet Franc Toscana IGT 2018
3 Bottles in OWC

“Campo di Magnacosta” Cabernet Franc Toscana IGT 2018 · 3 Bottles in OWC

Just 2,100 bottles of this 1.5-hectare Cabernet Franc vineyard "Campo di Magnacosta" (a former river bed with mainly clay, gravel and crushed stone soil) are sold worldwide and appear on the maps of the best restaurants. The vines were planted in the mid-1990s and come from the Pomerol. In terms of aromatic intensity, Magnacosta is probably the most sensually elegant representative of the three major vineyard cabernets of the house. It possesses great straightforwardness, but somewhat less power and intensity. It subtly combines black fruit aromas with spicy notes, tar and antique leather. It already presents itself silky and elegant and will certainly increase in finesse over the years. SUPERIORE.DE

"The 2018 Campo di Magnacosta is ample and expressive, with a real sense of textural breadth that distinguishes it in this range. Super-ripe dark cherry, gravel, mint, spice and leather tones give the 2018 striking complexity. Incisive tannins need time to soften. Readers who can wait will be rewarded with a fabulous, deeply expressive wine. The 2018 Campo di Magnacosta is 100% Cabernet Franc from a site on an old river bed." Vinous

"Campo di Magnacosta is the lightest and more feminine Cabernet Franc of Trinoro’s cru (Magnacosta, Camagi, Tenaglia) based on this grape variety. It is a 1.5 hectare parcel of river gravel and silt on the valley's bottom, where an old stream ate into a hill (hence the name: magna is eat and costa is hillside). It was planted over 20 years ago with cuttings from a vineyard in Pomerol. Intense and elegant on the nose with an intriguing restrained brumble fruit, dried eucalyptus and spices, it combines great fruit definition and creamy palate with tight-knit tannins and lively acidity in background. Warm on the finish, yet well balanced." Decanter

"This is one of three single-vineyard expressions made by the talented Mr. Franchetti. The Tenuta di Trinoro 2018 Campo di Magnacosta (with only 1,950 bottles released) is powerful and complex. Campo di Magnacosta is also very elegant, showing a slow and careful approach that takes on volume and latitude as the wine opens aromatically. Give it time. Black fruit, Spanish cedar, charred meat, crushed river stone and exotic spice take center stage. The mouthfeel offers a lot of texture and succulence, but the finish is linear and structured. The wine's length ultimately translates into elegance." Robert Parker

“Campo di Tenaglia” Cabernet Franc Toscana IGT 2018 · 3 Bottles in OWC

Just 1,900 bottles of this 0.8 hectare Cabernet Franc single vineyard "Campo di Tenaglia" (at an altitude of approx. 550 m, mainly limestone) are sold worldwide and appear on the menus of the best restaurants. Impenetrable, dark wine with a bouquet of flint, crushed minerals and some chalk. The texture is rich and opulent, but always smooth with a touch of minerality. Campo di Tenaglia is one of the juiciest Cabernet francs we have ever had in a glass. Beautiful, long final and certainly a great storage potential. SUPERIORE.DE

"The 2018 Campo di Tenaglia, 100% Cabernet Franc, emerges from a tiny parcel measuring less than a hectare planted on limestone. Intensely floral and saline, the 2018 is bright and vibrant from the first taste, all in a medium-bodied style that offers considerable appeal. Time in the glass brings out a whole range of savory and intensely mineral notes to complement a core of bright red-toned fruit." Vinous

"Andrea Franchetti's Tenuta di Trinoro 2018 Campo di Tenaglia offers a classic interpretation of variety, vintage and territory. The wine shows the ample abundance and generosity of sunny Tuscany (with a powerful 16% alcohol content), contrasted against the linearity and sharpness of this mighty grape. Some cool spots during the growing season have contributed to the phenolic power of the wine, its lasting structure and the vivid freshness of the aromas. To the palate, this wine is enormously rich and generous with layers of black fruit, smoke, spice and barbecued meat. Among these three wines in the series, the Campo di Tenaglia delivers extra density and concentration." Robert Parker

“Le Caggiole” Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG 2016 · 3 Bottles in OWC

In 1988, the first Caggiole was launched on the market, and as early as in 1995, it disappeared again, because at that time the flagship Asinone simply met the consumers' taste better. Today - after more than 20 years of abstinence - the Nobile Le Caggiole is again on the market as the new first wine of the house.

It is salty, mineral and refined. It represents the terroir and the grape variety Sangiovese (Prugnolo Gentile) like no other wine of the house. It is light on its feet, svelte, delicate and very refined. It is the result of many years of work with the selection of the right Sangiovese clones in the homonymous single vineyard Le Caggiole, which consists of 4 plots.

Estate owner Dott. Federico Carletti has dedicated this masterpiece to his wife Anna - setting a new standard for Poliziano and the entire denomination. We are very happy to present this strictly limited top wine! SUPERIORE.DE

"Made entirely with Sangiovese, this has aromas of mature black-skinned fruit, exotic spice, camphor and whiffs of French oak. Firmly structured but elegant, the linear palate delivers Marasca cherry, red plum, espresso and licorice framed in tightly knit, fine-grained tannins. Bright acidity keeps it fresh and balanced." Wine Enthusiast

"The Poliziano 2016 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Le Caggiole opens to a dark and sultry appearance, showing a rich and elegant side of the Sangiovese grape. There is a snappy or tart element to the fruit with sour cherry and black plum; however, the wine does not lack for ripeness. There is depth and rich concentration here, giving this wine a step up when it comes to a possible steak or meat roast dinner. The tannins (both the fruit and the oak tannins) are astringent, so give the wine a few more months of bottle aging." Robert Parker
