“Le Rive” Bianco Veronese IGT 2021 (BIO)
Le Rive is a single-varietal Garganega made from grapes harvested late from volcanic soils. On the nose, the aromas of citrus fruit, almonds and exotic fruit are impressive. Its flavour is soft and powerful, with a wonderful freshness right through to the long finish, combined with an ebb and flow of minerals. A wonderful and highly distinctive wine with which the three sisters have once again put themselves at the forefront of their region. SUPERIORE.DE
"The Garganega Le Rive 2021 is a real treat for the nose. A bouquet of honeyed flowers gives way to dried apricots and peaches, embellished by an enriching note of lemon custard. It opens with a balanced inner sweetness that reveals lush, ripe stone fruit and a hint of candied lemon layered over a silky texture. On the long and dramatic final, the 2021 remains coloured in its primary concentration on the palate, lingering with its citrus notes while the mouth demands more. Le Rive is certainly not shy, but the balance is fantastic. Make sure you keep a few bottles in the cellar." Vinous
"An 85-year-old plot opposite Carbonare, late harvested and fermented in tonneaux. There is a striking resemblance to fine white Burgundy. Hints of tangerines, apricot pith and chamomile are underlain by a racy, stony freshness. Brilliant wine, alluding to sweetness while finishing dry, minerally and forceful. From organically grown grapes." James Suckling

“La Fabriseria” Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC 2019
La Fabriseria comes across as an elegant, medium-bodied Amarone. Its intensity, tannin structure and density are hard to beat in this price range. Very juicy on the palate, full-bodied and soft, with notes of cherries, cardamom and cloves. And always with the elegant seriousness of the Tedeschi family's great flagship of the same name. SUPERIORE.DE
"Very deep ruby red colour. Spicy notes of white pepper and tobacco on the nose, with hints of coffee and small red fruits. Full-bodied and intense in the mouth, soft, with character, personality and pronounced tannins on the finish, lingers for a long time." Falstaff
"Vibrant and fresh aromas of wild cherry and sour plum give way to exotic purple flower aromas and tobacco on the nose. The palate pops with tart red fruit notes followed by a mix of sweet and savory spices finishing with a bright pop of acidity." Wine Enthusiast
"A dense nose of dried fruit, mainly plums and black berries, which opens up a little on the medium-bodied palate, but the fruit is still essentially wrapped in a cocoon of fine, slightly drying tannin. This wine clearly needs more time in bottle to develop, but it shows great promise. Try decanting it now, but best from 2024." James Suckling
"The 2019 Valpolicella Classico Superiore La Fabriseria has sweet cherry syrup or crème de cassis that transitions to a savory side with hints of spice and tarry smoke. The wine presents bright flavors and enough structure to pair next to a heavy meat ragù and homemade pasta." Wine Advocate
"This is a long-standing and favourite Tedeschi production. The 2019 Valpolicella Classico Superiore La Fabriseria has sweet cherry syrup or crème de cassis that fades into a savoury side with hints of spice and tarry smoke." Wine Advocate
"The Valpolicella Superiore La Fabriseria 2019 is a real delight on the nose, with an opulent blend of crushed black cherries complemented by cinnamon, cloves and cocoa. It is silky and supple, with a lively acidity that further enlivens the ripe red fruit and inner spice. The 2019 tapers off with amazing length but also freshness, leaving a subtle train of fine tannins as the raspberry and liquorice notes slowly fade. This is a real crowd favourite." Vinous
"From grapes left to slightly over-ripen on the vine, with a portion of the fruit left uncrushed for fermentation, it has a deep and perfumed blackcurrant aroma with noticeable tannic structure overlaid by incredibly smooth and plush fruit. Despite this, it's light on its feet and well balanced despite the 15.5% alcohol, lifted on the finish by a touch of balsam." Decanter

“Leon” Durella Metodo Classico VSQ dosaggio zero
The Durella grapes for this sparkling wine produced using the Champagne method come from the volcanic soils of the Agno Valley. Brilliant, light straw yellow in colour with a fine, persistent perlage. Salty, fruity notes of citrus fruit and quince on the nose. Powerful and mouth-filling on the palate, lively with striking acidity and a wonderful, bone-dry finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"Energetic and vibrant from the moment the cork pops, this wine opens with citrus, stone fruit and fresh lily aromas. Bright, yet with a cream texture from the elegant perlage that helps the citrus oil, white peach and subtle mineral notes lift on the palate." Wine Enthusiast
"A grape variety with high acidity and optimum ripeness for such a creamy, sparkling and non-dosed sparkling wine. Also very good. Accents of vanilla apples and lemon blossom are brought to a good length by a persistent perlage and juicy acidity." James Suckling
"The Metodo Classico Durella Leon is airy and fresh with a spicy burst of ground ginger that fades into young peach and white smoke. It is savoury and mineral, with a silky bead of fine bubbles and salty fruit that slowly saturates. Notes of lime zest meet sour melon and the finish is long and powerful." Vinous

“Carminium” Carménère Colli Berici DOC 2019
The clay content in the forest soils of this incredible, almost untouched area around Oratorio di San Lorenzo gives the wine a unique note. Rich red with blue-violet reflections. Intense on the nose with notes of medicinal herbs, ripe red berries, blood orange, pepper and spices. On the palate then very precise and clear with dark fruits, a delicious spiciness and tannins that are still firm when young. Already seductive today and then elegant and silky with increasing bottle maturity. SUPERIORE.DE
pepnose. Juicy fruit channeled through a dense network of dry, firm, super-spicy tannins. A beautiful lift of dried herbs (sage, rosemary, lavender and oregano) and, a bit like their Cabernet, this lovely savoury-sweet element that is like oven-roasted cherry tomatoes with roasted vine and white pepper. Very gouleyant." Jancis Robinson
"Dark ruby red with a violet core. Scents of thyme and tarragon, black pepper on the nose, paired with blackcurrant and orange zest. On the palate juicy, dense and compact, well-integrated tannins, goes with vigour into the long finish." Falstaff
"The 2019 Carménère Carminium is remarkably floral and fresh, exuding notes of redcurrant, rosemary and ground ginger reminiscent of pepper. It is a model of purity with bright acidity lifting the mineral red fruits while savoury spices swirl through the nose. The 2019 finishes classically dry and lightly textured, leaving tart raspberry notes on the finish. This is an incredibly beautiful vintage for Carminium." Vinous
"It has a complex nose of dried thyme, tobacco, sage, tar and blackberries. Also peppercorns and cloves. It is medium-bodied, with firm tannins. Finely integrated and concentrated, with a firm finish. Better after 2024." James Suckling

Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC 2018
Dark ruby red. The bouquet gives a furious hint of what this opulent long-distance runner is capable of: full heart of cherry fruit, blue flowers, damp forest floor, noble spice and a well-dosed use of wood impressively alternate. Just as complex and multi-layered on the nose, the wine goes on to show beguiling wild berries, precisely polished tannins and an extraordinarily elegant long final. Wow! SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright ruby red with very light garnet reflections. Notes of ripe cherries, wild berries, sweet spices and some hints of cocoa and dried flowers. Velvety, soft, persistent, spicy flavour with excellent extract richness." Falstaff
"Crushed berries and a layer of mahogany on the nose. Full-to medium-bodied with a very refined, polished feel and intense flavor. Firm tannins push the length. Very solid, but exuding finesse." James Suckling
"The 2018 Valpolicella Classico Superiore seduces with a dusting of confectionery spice and sweet smoke complementing its bright cherry profile. This is juicy and round with vivid ripe red berries and minty herbs, along with violet and lavender florals. The finish is long and staining with round tannins that linger. For all of its sweet spice, the Valpolicella Classico Superiore is matured entirely in large Slavonian oak - what you smell is fruit." Vinous

“Marne 180” Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG 2020
The name says it all: Marne means marl soil, on which the vines for this marvellous Amarone grow. They are over 20 years old and lie in an ideal 180° direction, from south-west to south-east. Rich, shiny ruby red colour, compact bouquet with intense aromas of plum, black cherry, green tea and tobacco, with a fine chocolate note in the background. The body, coated in fine berry fruit, develops a dynamic flavour experience on the palate with a sweet fruit melt, firm tannins and a long finish. SUPERIORE.DE
"The wines from this reliable producer are consistently delicious, in a modern style without ever straying too far into excess. Kirsch, alpine spruce, candied orange zest, violets and camphor. The oak finds confluence with the refined grape tannins to compress the fruit with a welcome restraint. There’s a touch of sweetness to the vintage. Age and the complexity that comes with it will serve this wine well. Sustainable." James Suckling
"The 2020 Amarone della Valpolicella Marne 180 is wonderfully floral, with dusty, dried roses and violets accompanied by notes of crushed chalk and spiced blackberries. It has a silky texture and a pleasant inner sweetness with crisp forest fruits contrasted by candied orange notes. The Marne 180 finishes structured and remarkably fresh with a hint of dark chocolate that lingers. It is fantastic." Vinous

“Cresasso” Corvina Veronese IGT 2017
Cresasso - an exquisite, single-varietal Corvina. Intensely scented with dark fruits, rose petals and spices. A rich, concentrated fruit on the palate, silky, with remarkable inner sweetness. Striking and sensual. SUPERIORE.DE
"This is packed with spicy red and black fruit, almost exotic in style, with notes of fresh dates, passion fruit, raspberries and the tiniest twist of chocolate. A full-bodied palate with ever more vivid fruit that latches onto the very fine and lightly firm tannins to give a pristine finish with lots of flavor and good length." James Suckling
"The 2017 Corvina Cresasso is aromatically stunning, with a captivating blend of raspberry and cherry sauce offset by a dusting of sweet spice and cocoa. This model of elegance is coasting silken textural waves across a core of vibrant acidity as masses of mineral-tinged red and blue fruits saturate the senses. The 2017 finishes structured and grippy with a primary concentration that lingers as tart red plums and rosy inner florals slowly fade. This varietal Corvina is fantastic, yet it will require cellaring to show its best." Vinous

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2018
Zenato's Amarone is all about elegance, with ripe fruit at the centre of the inviting bouquet with light notes of aromatic herbs. Powerful, sparkling ruby colour. Very appealing and multi-layered nose of plum, black cherry and a hint of leather. The palate reveals its overripe power, fine tannins and warm, expansive flavour. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright garnet red with a broad, brightening rim. Baroque bouquet on the nose, of sultanas, preserved cherry and varnish. Powerful on the palate, slightly warming, with a fine-grained tannin structure, mouth-filling and extremely long on the tongue." Falstaff
"Very ripe nose with aromas of dried sultanas, toffee, angelica and dark plum fruit. Powerful, soft and warm on the palate." Decanter
"A harmonious version, round and medium to full-bodied, with fine tannins wrapped in a fragrant blend of macerated cherries and strawberries, tea roses and tea leaves, minerals and spices. Juicy finish." Wine Spectator
"The Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2018 is exotic in the glass, with nuances of blood orange and mint that fade into preserved cherries and cloves. Supple and round on the entry, it impresses with its core of lively acidity and vividly ripe red fruits, which create an interplay of sweet and sour on the palate. The wine finishes with depth and concentration, but is also unexpectedly fresh and allows notes of plums and autumnal spices to linger for a long time. For this vintage, this is an extremely successful achievement. I take my hat off to Zenato." Vinous
"Very aromatic, with flavours of dried red and black fruits, including dried blueberries and dates, along with a lovely, spicy layer of nutmeg and pressed flowers. Full-bodied with an amazingly harmonious texture on the palate, thanks to the dense, very fine tannins, which also provide super length. A bright, salty, mineral note sets in and drives the finish even further. Exquisite Amarone." James Suckling

A well-structured, fresh and downright mineral white wine from the Amarone forge Quintarelli? Yes, you are reading correctly and you are in for a treat: straw yellow in colour with golden reflections, the bouquet has subtle hints of yellow fruit and apricot. This is energetic in style, with a solid core of minerality contrasting a mix of tropical citrus and white pit-fruits. Zesty acidity maintains a lovely freshness as the 2022 finishes crisp and clean, with a sapid, lemony concentration that calls the taster back to the glass. “Vigna Colle Sant’Antonio” Soave Classico DOC 2018
"Rich, deep and convincing: Colle Sant'Antonio is a small selection of Garganega that I carefully choose in the vineyard and patiently wait for in the cellar." Graziano Prà
Intense yellow with golden reflections. The complex bouquet is reminiscent of ripe yellow fruit, cinnamon, fresh vanilla, acacia and chestnut honey. Its freshness is in perfect balance with its alcohol content and powerful body. Sweet roasted almonds and candied apricots come to the fore in the terrificfinish. The tertiary aromas created by ageing in French oak barrels contribute to the complexity of the flavour and round off the unique drinking experience perfectly. SUPERIORE.DE
"This light-footed white wine is both lusciously creamy and well polished, with mouthwatering acidity and a fine textural interplay that carries a beautiful array of flavours of baked white cherries and apricots, candied ginger, dried basil and grilled macadamia nuts. Long and juicy on the finish, with hints of honey, minerals and spice." Wine Spectator
"Golden Delicious apples, pressed yellow flowers, acacia honey and wet stone aromas waft from the glass of this heady Soave. The palate is round and structured, with baked fruit, white peach, roasted citrus and mixed spices leading to the mineral finish." Wine Enthusiast
"Deep yellow-gold in color, the 2018 Soave Classico Colle Sant'Antonio is rich in the glass, with a bouquet of baked apples and pears complemented by a dusting of confectionary spice. This soothes with its soft and enveloping textures while remaining wonderfully perfumed and energetic as ripe orchard fruits and hints of green melon settle on the palate. The Colle Sant'Antonio tapers off long, leaving suggestions of white peach and candied lime to slowly fade. The balance here is otherworldly and promises many years of steady evolution." Vinous
"The wholesome flagship made using a cordon-cut technique to concentrate the fruit in a fusion of three different top crus into a swirl of mandarin, mango chutney, salted quince and pineapple spice. Medium-bodied, luscious, almost exotic, yet with a hint of quinine bitterness on the finish." James Suckling

“I Palchi” Soave Classico Foscarino DOC 2021
Inama's Garganega flagship is named after the wide terraces with rows of old Garganega vines trained in beads on Monte Foscarino. In 2019, thanks to the optimal orientation and careful cultivation, a selection of the best grapes was reserved for I Palchi, which will now only be released on the market in the best years in very limited quantities. It is the archetype of a Soave Classico from volcanic soils and a more than successful, independent interpretation of the Garganega grape.
Deep, rich straw yellow colour. Delicate, highly elegant nose of white flowers, stone fruit and meadow herbs, rounded off with a lovely spiciness and a hint of flint. Full-bodied on the palate, with a firm creaminess, dense, ripe fruit and complex, mineral components. A dream in velvet and silk, carried by a well-proportioned acidity and with an impressive final. SUPERIORE.DE
"Bright, radiant straw yellow with elegant green reflections. Appealing nose of ripe lemon, cold smoke, exotic undertones, candied pineapple, sugared coconut, cold herbal tea on the final. Very nice melting on the palate, with a racy-salty undertone, polished, with beautiful play, mouth-watering in the final and with fine length." Falstaff
"Grown on wide terraces on the Monte Foscarino, this Soave showcases Garganega's importance as one of Italy's great and noble white grapes. The nose opens with aromas of fleshy white peach, Fuji apple, acacia honey, dried yellow flowers and subtle hints of baking spice. Rich and full in body, yet graceful at the same time, the wine has notes of roasted orange peel, apricot and pear all dusted with baking spices and finishing with a crushed stone minerality." Wine Enthusiast
"The Soave Classico Foscarino Grande Cuvée I Palchi 2021 is what they describe as the most representative target for this wine. Made from 100% Garganega, the wine is beautifully structured and fresh, almost crisp and very detailed with peach, honeydew melon, exotic fruits and crushed oyster shells. I Palchi consists of terraced vineyards with 50 to 60 year old vines that are trained using a pergola-rafter system. Garganega is a very vigorous grape variety. The choice of oak wood is carefully considered here." Wine Advocate
"The Soave Classico I Palchi Foscarino Grande Cuvée 2021 has a platinum gold colour and a youthful, intense bouquet that blends raw almonds with stone dust, dusty dried flowers and Asian pear. It seduces with its silky texture and supple personality, washing over the palate with crisp, ripe fruit accompanied by a savoury mix of spicy herbs and minerals. The 2021 tapers dramatically long and fresh, leaving an aftertaste of mint and liquid stone." Vinous
"Wow. This is fantastic with mangoes, lemons, pears and a hint of vanilla. Mineral flavours too. Full-bodied with bright fruit and a lively finish. Lots of minerality. A selection of the best grapes from Inama in the Grand Cru Foscarino. Outstanding." James Suckling

“Capitel Monte Olmi” Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva DOCG 2017
Capitel Monte Olmi 2017 takes things to another level. It coats the glass with a deep purple glow and exudes a dark and seductive bouquet of redcurrants, sultanas, black liquorice and a hint of spiced citrus. The deep, velvety texture is complemented by juicy acids and tart red fruits that drench everything they touch, leaving a complex layer of savoury spices, minerals and fine tannins. This wine is structured, long and full of character, but with a balance that will carry it for many years in the cellar. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark, shiny ruby red with garnet reflections. Very intense aromas of blueberry, black elderberry, ripe plum, sandalwood, chocolate and tobacco leaf on the nose. Powerful and very fruity on the palate, delicately spicy and dense, with fine tannins, very balanced final with great drinking pleasure." Falstaff
"Blackberry pie, sweet and savoury spices, woody herbs and violets swirl in the glass. In the mouth, it's lush and creamy, with cooked plums and black cherries on the mid-palate accompanied by anise, clove and pepper, finishing with fine tannins and bright acidity. The wine shows the 2017 vintage with its concentrated richness, but there is enough acidity to hold the wine together." Wine Enthusiast
"It starts with oak aromas on the nose, but as soon as you put the wine in your mouth, the bright dried berries begin to unfold and soak up the oak flavours, leading to a full-bodied, long and balanced finish. Although the flavour spectrum is not particularly complex at this stage, this wine is well-structured and already approachable. But Amarone fans will certainly want to cellar this wine, as the enormous ageing potential is obvious from the first sip." James Suckling
"The 2017 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva Capitel Monte Olmi is youthfully coy, slowly blossoming with swirling to reveal notes of cocoa, clove, lavender and dried black cherries. Creamy and seamlessly silky, this soothes the palate with its cooling acidity as masses of ripe red and blue fruits slowly saturate. A bitter tinge of dark chocolate lingers along with a tart berry concentration, all framed by crunchy tannins. This is an excellent effort for this warm and dry vintage. Its balance is spot on." Vinous
"One of the most traditional wineries in Valpolicella, ancient wisdom combined with modern intuition. A Riserva made from Corvina, Rondinone, Rondinella and other red grapes, taut on the nose with notes of laurel and eucalyptus, fresh, dense and deep on the palate, with a spicy-salty finish." “Selezione Sergio Zenato” Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva DOCG 2017
Deep bouquet of black berries and cocoa, violets and lavender. On the palate flavours of cherries, blackberries and wild berries, in the long finish the invigorating fresh impressions of medicinal herbs. A dense, polished and stately wine of the upper class. SUPERIORE.DE
"A masterpiece of polished perfection from Corvina, Rondinella and Oseleta for 48 months in large oak casks. Black cherries, liquorice, rhubarb, a mentholated touch on the olfaction, rich and multifaceted. Juicy, persistent, with a return of black fruits and mentholated on the palate." Luca Gardini
"Extremely complex notes of sweet plums, black cherry syrup and dried flowers with a powerful tannin core and illustrious structure. Long and persistent with an herbaceous note on the finish." Decanter
"The 2017 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva Sergio Zenato is very classic Zenato style, with macerated cherries, sultanas, sweet herbs, cocoa, black pepper and cedar chips. This wine is very structured, with a dense wave of mineral-coated dark red fruits and balsamic spice supported by a core of bracing acidity. Mocha and clove mingle with blackcurrant and olive as the 2017 finishes dramatically long and powerful. There is just so much going on here, and more is guaranteed to come with ageing. It's also worth noting that the 2017 has a residual sugar content of just 3.3 grams. This wine is as serious as it gets." Vinous
"This is one of those wines where the nose lingers long in the glass to savour the complex aromas that range from raspberries to dates, fragrant bark to polished wood, pressed flowers to fresh mushrooms. Full-bodied, dense and concentrated with fine, well-integrated tannins, plenty of fruit flavours and an endless finish." James Suckling

“San Floriano” Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva DOCG 2013
Brigaldara's Amarone Riserva is a wine born from the desire to interpret Valpolicella in its most original form. The strictly selected grapes that form its basis are chosen from the best vineyards in order to maximise the potential of the estate's own vineyards in Valpolicella.
Garnet red in colour, with aromas of preserved fruit, spices, sour cherries and hints of tobacco and cocoa. Brigaldara's Riserva is a large, concentrated "old-school" Amarone with a good dose of residual sugar and volatile acidity, which give the wine its unmistakable style and lend it plenty of complexity. This uncompromising and rich Amarone hits all the right notes: Mocha, old leather, smoke, tobacco and liquorice are just some of the exciting components of its long, personality-rich and distinctive finish. An energetic wine with a balance between fruit and power, which plays with its class and depth and has secured a place in the appellation's list of best wines thanks to its complex and deep tertiary flavours. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark, shining, noble ruby red with a subtly brightening rim. Elegant wood on the nose, ripe berry fruit, dried tomato, comes in several waves, incense, cherries, raspberries, very complex. Very elegant on the palate, with notes of black tea, tightly woven tannins, lots of juiciness and fruit, extremely elegant Amarone with plenty of verve." Falstaff
"Very dark ruby in colour. Interesting, dense and lifted nose of peppery cherry, damson and plum, with a hint of pine and creaminess from what I suspect is oak. Smooth and well balanced. Almost defies its 16%. On the palate, it doesn't come across as bulky, and it has the right amount of supple tannins. A little warmth on the finish, but without the often distracting sweetness that this type of wine usually has." Jancis Robinson
"This wine gracefully combines taut, sculpted tannins with a tarry minerality and a detailed flavour profile of dried cherries, plum jam, tobacco and cocoa nibs. Medium-bodied and silky on the palate, with an orange peel acidity that cleanses the finish." Wine Spectator
"A delicious, liquid Riserva with beautiful dried fruit and nutty, cedar-like influences. Also floral notes and dried peel. Full and silky, with a residue of red, savoury tannin coming through at the end. Very pretty now, but it will age for a long time." James Suckling
"Aromas of black plum and spice cake rise from the glass of this rich and heady Amarone. As the wine progresses, notes of dark chocolate and espresso follow through to dried thyme and violet notes. The rounded and rich tannins provide a structured and straightforward finish, while on the palate the tart red and dried black fruits mingle with sweet spices, leading to an earthy finish." Wine Enthusiast
"The 2013 Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva San Floriano smolders up from the glass with a smoky blend of dried black cherries, blood orange and grilled herbs. This is a perfect mixture of elegance and purity, with silken textures and polished red fruits flowing across a lively stream of acidity. It’s youthfully dense and powerful yet also restrained, finishing with a web of fine-grained tannin that clamps down hard as hints of licorice and sour orange slowly taper off. It will take a good deal of time for the 2013 to come fully into focus, but it will be worth the wait. In 2013, the Riserva hailed entirely from the Case Vecie vineyard." Vinous

“Ca' del Merlo” Rosso Veneto IGP 2016
Rosso Ca'del Merlo is a refined cuvée of Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Corvina, Croatina, Nebbiolo and Rondinella. With its 7 years of ageing in wood and its dark, fruity Cabernet style, it once again demonstrates the great class of the house. In the breathtaking bouquet, peppery herbs and flowers meander towards a mixture of crushed blackberries and cloves. Silky and elegant on the palate, with a pure blend of wild berry fruits and sweet spices framed by a mineral acidity. Violet blossoms resonate on the long and slightly smoky finish, which ends long and fresh with a tart hint. Power meets grace, with tremendous style and breed. SUPERIORE.DE
"The Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ca’ del Merlot is distinctly savory in the glass, with a thrust of wild herbs that evolves into fresh picked strawberries and wet stone. This is a model of purity and balance, with brilliant acidity that propels its crisp wild berry fruits as violet inner florals collect toward the close. Further elevated by a hint of confectionary spice, it tapers off remarkably fresh and vivid, with a blueberry tinge and dusty tannins that promise a lovely evolution. This is a gorgeous interpretation of Cà dal Merlo. It's a blend of 80% Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella, with 20% Cabernet and Merlot, with half of the grapes dried for two months and the other half pressed fresh after harvest." Vinous

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2018 · MAGNUM

Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC 2016
Alongside dal Forno's Valpolicella, this is probably the only wine from this appellation that redefines the character of this famous Veronese red wine in a stunning way and justifiably sets a benchmark that is unattainable for most winemakers in the region. Deep, dark ruby red in colour with scattered garnet-red reflections. A cornucopia of small red berries on the nose, plus sweet cherry, cedar wood and smoke. Firm, complex and multi-layered on the palate with an elegance that forms a masterful symbiosis with the impressive body. Produced using the traditional Ripasso method and, as always, perfectly modelled by hand. Magnificent! SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2016 Valpolicella Classico Superiore is wild and exotic in the glass, with a spicy burst of citrus and hints of graphite that give way to crushed blackberries and incense. This is a juicy and vibrant interpretation of Quintarelli Valpolicella, with a wave of mineral-tinged wild berry fruit that washes across the palate, guided by stimulating acidity. It tapers off on a note of refinement, still quite mineral and classically dry, with a coating of fine tannins that add a pleasantly crunchy sensation. Since no Amarone was produced in 2016, the Valpolicella received a percentage of that fruit, propelling this beauty to the next level. " Vinous
"Elegance and great flavour tension in another evergreen of the variety. Blend of Corvina and Rondinella with Cabernet, complex and fascinating bouquet, jammy blueberries, hints of undergrowth, black pepper and bay leaves. Perfectly integrated tannins on the finish, fruity aftertaste." Luca Gardini

Limitation of 2 articles per customerRecioto della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2015 dolce
This exceptional Recioto was matured for 6 years in Slavonian oak. Deep, dark ruby red in colour. In the nose, a beguiling extract of black cherry, dried flowers and a fine spiciness, with hints of liquorice and mint. On the palate, the fruit is uniform, extremely harmonious and concentrated to the point. Notes of gingerbread, dark chocolate and black cherry glide into an almost endless finish with an unforgettable aftertaste. SUPERIORE.DE
"Dark ruby with purple hues, the 2015 Recioto della Valpolicella Classico is youthfully coy, requiring coaxing to evolve in the glass. Swirling and time bring forward a more savory bouquet as exotic spices, balsamic tones and hints of incense emerge, followed by dried blueberries and violet pastille. This is pure seduction, like silk draped across the palate, revealing depths of ripe black cherry and wild berry fruits, enhanced by a core of blood orange. Even at 70 grams-per-liter of residual sugar, it's hard to perceive the 2015 as a sweet wine. Its zesty acidity adds harmony, closing with a pleasantly bitter tinge and gently grippy tannins that frame the experience so well." Vinous

The Quintarelli family rigorously decides when the top wine may be an Amarone and when - depending on the climate and yield - the result is "declassified" and a small quantity is then named after the founder's nickname and released onto the market. Connoisseurs are almost waiting for it, because this extremely rare wine has it all and more than does justice to the founding father.
Strong, bright ruby red colour. Complex berry flavour with a potpourri of red fruits, notes of fig and a perfectly orchestrated orchestra of spices. Powerful and warm on the palate, with great harmony and depth, the well-defined muscles and a carefully woven tannin structure guide this balsamic red into a long, impressive final. With this outstanding quality, it really doesn't matter whether the wine is called Amarone or not ... Giuseppe "Bepi" would be proud of the result! SUPERIORE.DE
"There will be no Amarone in 2016; instead, we’re treated to a new vintage of Rosso del Bepi. This is dark and brooding in the glass, youthfully coy, with a bouquet of dried roses and violets. Complicating whiffs of incense give way to cherry sauce and dark chocolate. It's rich and complex yet also remarkably energetic, with a tactile mineral core that enhances its tart red berry fruits while hints of sour orange add a cheek-puckering sourness toward the close. The 2016 finishes with medium length and a chalky sensation, tapering off with suggestions of licorice and tangerine. This sexy and energetic Rosso del Bepi will win a lot of hearts." Vinous

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2017
A masterpiece of depth, tradition and elegance! This Amarone matures for around six years in the barrel before it sees the light of day in the bottle. The archetype of the Venetian royal wine presents itself as multi-layered and dense and of a masterly complexity. On the nose, dried fruit, dates, nuts, earthy notes and the fine flavours of dried sultanas. On the palate, this infinite depth is paired with an elegance and finesse that only the Quintarelli family can master. A red wine from a better world, where you want to linger longer! SUPERIORE.DE
"The Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2017 is an absolute seductress and a dark beauty. It opens with a dusty bouquet of dried flowers and masses of cherry sauce, underscored by spiced oranges and hints of violet pastille. The palate is a model of purity, with crisp wild berries enlivened by tantalising acidity and a hint of dark chocolate. Crisp mineral notes emerge towards the finish. The 2017 lingers for an incredibly long time and remains completely fresh. The grippy tannins remain, while notes of dried blueberries and lavender linger throughout. The Quintarelli estate has worked hard to perfect a style that combines the magic of older vintages with a new level of freshness, and the 2017 is a big step in the right direction. Bravo." Vinous

100% Cabernet Franc made according to the traditional Ripasso method! This wine was created by Giuseppe in honour of his grandmother Franca and has a clear Quintarelli style. Dark ruby colour with brownish reflections. Sweetish aroma of dark red fruit, damp forest soil and a hint of fine winter truffle on the nose. Highly concentrated on the palate, powerful and with beautiful suppleness and finely granulated tannins. Its dense body and immense complexity reveal depth, a variety of flavours and a fine, sweet Amarone style with every sip! Not a playful experiment by a quality fanatic, but a serious, finesse-rich wine with a clear signature and terrificageing potential! SUPERIORE.DE
"The 2015 Cabernet Alzero is loaded with varietal character, bursting from the glass with a dark blend of black fruits, savory herbs, pencil lead and crushed stone. This is velvety smooth, with juicy acidity to balance and a core of mineral-tinged red and blue fruits complemented by confectionary spice. It leaves the palate reeling with youthful tension as hints of blood orange swirl under an air of violet inner florals. Dusty tannins resonate throughout. The energy within the 2015 is off the charts and provides a perfect counterpoint to its internal intensity. Bury this one deep." Vinous
